As the author quoted I understood the importance at the end.
"People wished they could read such a book before experiencing the hard way."
That's totally right; the book explained the VC firm, funding game and so many insights not to make mistakes.
The use of BATNA while combined with book "getting to yes", became priceless.

Invaluable for a 1st time entrepreneur
What made the experience of listening to Venture Deals the most enjoyable?
Very hands on with real-world examples, analysed from several perspectives including the entrepreneur. However hearing the view of the other parties (VC/lawyer) is what really makes you understand why things are going down the way they are.The whole book strikes me as very honest.
What about Sean Pratt’s performance did you like?
You can almost hear how Sean smiles as he captures the sarcastic moments in the book.

Should be made mandatory undergrad reading
There are things that u don't know that you don't know. This book covers them.
Should have read it a long time ago. Better late than never.

Opening the safe!
Brad and Jason have empowered those of us with the American Dream to finally have a clue when comes to entering the fray with the VC's of the world. There's so much info and insight in this book that you might need to read it a couple of times for it all to sink in. Thanks for sharing guys!

looking for funding? - this a must read
worth weight in gold for any founder entrepreneur looking for funding. also a good resource for anyone just looking to learn more about the VC world. some really dry stuff they manage to make interesting! great narration too!

Worth reading a second time and third time around
What made the experience of listening to Venture Deals the most enjoyable?
Venture deals made a highly complicated, relatively unknown process to first time entrepreneurs looking for investment digestible and simpler to understand. It's a book that I'll likely refer back to many times over in progressing with my companies financing and investment needs.
