Publisher's summary

On the heels of his 2010 New York Times bestseller Conspiracy of the Rich, Robert Kiyosaki takes a hard-hitting look at the factors that impact people from all walks of life as they struggle to cope with change and challenges that impact their financial world.

In Unfair Advantage: The Power of Financial Education Robert underscores his messages and challenges readers to change their context and act in a new way. Listeners are advised to stop blindly accepting that they are "disadvantaged" people with limited options. They are encouraged to act beyond their concept of limited options and challenge the preconception that they will struggle financially all of their lives.

Robert’s fresh approach to his time-tested messages includes clear, actionable steps that any individual or family can take, starting with education. Education becomes applied knowledge, a powerful tactic with measurable results.

In true Rich Dad style, readers will be challenged to understand two points of view, and experience how financial knowledge is their unfair advantage.

What does school teach you about money? In most cases, the answer is “Not much.” If there is any financial education, the courses are taught by financial planners and bankers… the agents of Wall Street and the big banks, the very people that caused and profited from the financial crisis.

This book is about real financial education. This book is about how debt and taxes make the rich richer…and why debt and taxes makes the poor and middle class struggle.

This book explains why the rich get richer, paying less in taxes, while the middle class shrinks - with many losing jobs, homes, and retirement—and paying more in taxes. This book is about the five unfair advantages a real financial education offers.

  • The Unfair Advantage of Knowledge
  • The Unfair Advantage of Taxes
  • The Unfair Advantage of Debt
  • The Unfair Advantage of Risk
  • The Unfair Advantage of Compensation

These five unfair advantages are the outcomes of real financial education.

A great initiation into understanding wealth

This audiobook is a great entry into understanding the fundamentals of investing and also has more advanced pieces of information that can any person gain an understanding of financial wealth.

It is inspirational and motivates one to follow a path to financial freedom without having to give up on dreams. In fact, I'd venture to say to it empowers you to do so.

Regardless, this is not a one and all type book, rather an entry way into a larger learning experience; your financial education.

My unfair advantage

I loved this book. Hit a lot of key aspects in life and I’m trying to retrain my mind. I agree to a lot of the philosophy held in the material and would recommend this book to anyone that is getting into entrepreneurship, investing, and big business. It is a must have.

First book of Robert I've ever read

Though I have been listening about Robert for quite a while, this is the first audiobook to which I am listening (not sure I should say cover-to-cover) and I am loving it, he changed my perspective towards doing business with the concepts like OPM. I have to go a long way to implement but I am sure I will do it due to the value of the concepts.

Nice but

Very good but it repeats concept over and over. Also, depends how many of his books did you read.

Absolutely spectacular read

I'm fussy with books but this hit the nail right on the head. A big thanks to the rich dad team for putting these books together. They are changing lives!

Choose the best financial quadrant for you

This is a splendid book on information with robust information on all the financial quadrants. I grew up around parents, peers, associates, and teachers that drilled into me to get a great secure job. There may have been a few mentions of having your own business, real estate and investing, but it was rare. The school system has done a poor job of properly educating us on all our options including having our own business and investing.
