Great book, poor narration. WOS is worth getting

WOS sounds much better. This is a great book though. Poor audible quality. Mark Divine has accomplished a lot and should motivate you to do so as well.

i can't recommend this audio book highly enough.

Would you consider the audio edition of Unbeatable Mind: Forge Resiliency and Mental Toughness to Succeed at an Elite Level (Second Edition) to be better than the print version?

but do yourself a big favor, and get the kindle or print version, too.

mr devine has aggregated some of the most profound developmental wisdom charted, over the last few thousand years, and put it all in a simple, elegant, highly effective and easily accessible form.

not a professional warrior? please know that from "an attitude of service" on out, you too can excel and achieve greatness in your life, by simply listening and following/applying much of mark's suggestions based on core wisdoms, that have worked for thousands of years.

if just one person reads these words, and sets out on the profoundly rewarding path to developing that personal attitude of service toward others, then my work is done here.

Excellent book, narration could better

I really enjoyed this personal development, motivational book from Mark Devine. I am not in the military, but it is still very relevant on a personal level. I did find the narrator paused mid-sentence a lot though.

One of the worst readers...

What quality content may exist in this book is occluded by terrible narration. The reader runs words, sentences, and even chapters together, so there are few natural pauses. This makes the whole thing seem like one run-on sentence. The reader also has odd inflections and pronunciations (beyond minor Canadian accent pronunciations).
The book itself could do well with far less of being an advertisement for the author’s other books, trainings, and camps.

WARNING: unexpected convert to buddhism preaching

What disappointed you about Unbeatable Mind?

Was excited about content & title. Love The Seals! Have several good friends who are Navy Seals. Mark Divine surprised me when he started preaching convert to buddhism nonsense! I know a lot of great techniques for mental toughness. Some line up with many philosophies, eastern and western. But this book lost me when author digressed into convert to buddhism away from original expected premise of the book. They need to add a WARNING LABEL to books that want to have you convert to buddhism to apply their content.

What could Mark Divine have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Focus on mental toughness. Stop preaching buddhism!

an ex-military jesus freak

while I concur there are some validity in the right breathing exercises, I think this book a bit self indulgent. and his love with jesus (and religions in general) is just not for me.
the reading is sloppy at best. It would also have helped if the editors of this audiobook had been a bit more attentive to detail. there are way too many slip ups that couldve have been easily edited.
