Was excited about content & title. Love The Seals! Have several good friends who are Navy Seals. Mark Divine surprised me when he started preaching convert to buddhism nonsense! I know a lot of great techniques for mental toughness. Some line up with many philosophies, eastern and western. But this book lost me when author digressed into convert to buddhism away from original expected premise of the book. They need to add a WARNING LABEL to books that want to have you convert to buddhism to apply their content.
Focus on mental toughness. Stop preaching buddhism!
A lot of Information. For me I need it read slower so I can contemplate and absorb the material. I realize that isn't realistic. I plan on immediately listening to it again.
learning from the firehose of proven technical knowledge on mindset, goal setting and problem solving.
Narration has more than a few obvious fails - but it does not impact information transmission. This book is all about cramming info into a small space - it seems intended as a starting place to develop solid practices....
the swiss army knife of overcoming perceived limitations
Remarkable information in a distilled form - continually the book refers to a workbook that IS NOT part of available downloads that I can find.....which kinda sucks.
Mark Divine, because he seemed very direct and authentic.
Yes. I incorporated the breathing routines he recommended and revised my goals to include a couple "20x" goals.
The book had a rushed feel to it. I think if Mr. Divine had more time he could have produced a great effort rather than a good one.
The book needs better pacing and authenticity. I felt like it was all made up spur of the moment to take advantage of the current Navy SEAL craze. I also felt like there were too many 'capitalized' words and concepts, i.e. The Five Mountains.
Stayed in the shadows.
Overly dramatic reading. Terrible edits.
Don't buy this book. It is a waste of time. A synthesis of several systems and not the best of any of them. Crap.
Yes it is life changing if you truly absorb what is said and take action
He speaks of ways to push yourself and to never accept a mediocre life
Good stuff from from a great teacher. Seriously buy this and listen!
