If you've been in sales for more that 15 minutes, you should already know what this is about. 99% of this information is sales 101. If you are a beginner, some of it (that isn't basic common sense) should be helpful to you. What is most frustrating is that each segment is a sales pitch from the presenter itself. Save your money and listen to your sales manager!
Listen to their other books. This is a poor reproduction of there previous training material
Something else other than Tom Hopkins or zig zigler
It was a recording of live presentations. You could hear the white board markers and pieces of paper moving round. Waste of time really.
No. There previous books were 100% better
Tom Hopkins and Zig Ziglar have some great books but this is not one of them. It is a poorly done soundtrack of a few less than inspiring presentations. Read there other material instead. It covers a lot more and the audio is far better in their other books. The park by Jim Rohn. Was ok but not inspiring. It was my first listen to him and I don't feel a great need to read anything else by him so I think that says a lot
Some specific chapters are worth the entire cost of the book.
Other chapters could have been a bit more interesting with an interesting voice. Overall, a must listen for anyone in business and sales
This is the first audio book I've bought where the chapters actually mean something. i.e. One per speaker. Most books don't lend themselves to that, but it's nice here. If only they could be labeled for content too.
I might, but I've been around this subject for thirty years, and only a few things were new to me.
Each chapter is by a different speaker, and most if not all are the authors' of their own work. They're professional talkers, so you'd expect them to be pretty good.
A newcomer to sales might get a lot out of it.
There are the inevitable references to the speakers' websites, audios and videos for sale, etc. etc., but there's also some meaningful content. Sales speakers tend to confuse positive attitude with a license to be full of themselves, and this collection is no exception. Expect lots of threadbare selling acronyms, alliterations and cliches. One of the group is new and fresh to me, and I may even buy something from that one's website, but otherwise this hasn't been my favorite Audible purchase, I'm afraid.
The character view points.
This audio gives you a variety of personalities and sales approaches. If you are uncomfortable with sales... this book will release the adverse feeling that most people associate with the word salesman. There is bound to be one person featured in this audio that you can relate to that will lift your spirits in the belief of sales!
Good quick sections. Each section is about 20-30 mins. so you are able to listen to the book while traveling. Good "old school" sales stuff. Most of them I have heard before, but they remind you to keep going and keep improving.
The book is comprised mostly of live speeches from the Authors. Because the book is a collection of highlights from speeches it is a little "Choppy"
The people who produce the audio books for "made for success" have disappointed me twice this month! The first was with "investing and Wealth management" by Hansen and then finally with this. Basically someone recorded sessions live at an array of different experts in the field of Sales but the problem is that their simply is no flow to the topics, music sometimes is laid over the tracks and the narrators are extremely dry and repetitive.
I was really excited that the first session started with Zig Ziglar... what can I say, the man is over 80 years old and he really is a legend but after that the series goes down hill rapidly with other authors only trying to get you to buy their books! If you want to listen to a book on sales written by Zig Ziglar get "Secrets of closing the sale", if you want a general book on sales try "The Sales Bible" by Jeffery Gitomer and if you are a service provider and want to get new clients from referrals then get "book yourself Solid" by Michael Port. The books that I have recommend will be 3 times the length of audio for the same price, with authors who narrate themselves and really know what they are talking about!
With the names that the publishers got together here you would think they would spend a little more time organizing the topics. The only reason it got 2 stars instead of one is Zig Ziglar!
Skip this and buy the books I recommend above!
