The positive of this book is the fascination of hearing all about Trump's deals and how his out-of-the-box thinking gets him great deals and makes him lots of money. The negative is that everything is on such a large scale that it's hard to apply to most small investors.
I think the intention of the book was to use Trump as an example and show how to apply his ideas to the small investor. For me, personally, a lot of those concepts were over my head, but what I did get out of the book was motivation and inspiration. So I would recommend the book more on entertainment value than educational value.
The book stresses strategy, but also addresses a lot of negotiating tactics as well. The book's written by George Ross, a long-time business associate and attorney for Donald Trump. It is solid and full of ideas we can put to work in business and especially in real estate investment. The key is always: "how do I add value?" Without an solid business answer to that question, the rest of the strategy rests on sand. But there are lots of other strategic and tactical ideas that the author covers in a systematic and clear manner.
Along the way, you get to know both Donald Trump. I was rather neutral on Trump before I read the book, but I come away with a new found and deep respect for the main's integrity, creativity and entrepreneurship. He's the real deal and it's a pleasure to understand how he thinks about real estate, investments and people.
Finally a book on real estate that give some value in form of actual cases, tips and advices. Yes, there are obvious things that en entrepreneur already know. But for me it worked as reminders. A notepad could be good to have at hand.
The first half is just examples of what Trump has done in the past but doesn't have much to do with the average investor. It mostly applies to big-time commercial investors but doesn't really get into much detail. The second half has more applicable tips to use in real estate.
good book with a lot of information. I have listen to it twice. I wish it had a work book with it.
His ability of transforming unsolvable into a great winnings. Besides the normal real estates invesment, Trump came up with deals nobody would think of made him this rich.
Opened my appetite to learn more In the field like never before.

This is the best audiobook I've purchased on Audible. I thoroughly enjoy listening to it and have learned so much on negotiation skills and real estate investing. Love this book and highly recommend it to ANYONE!
George Ross is very insightful and he talks about how small investors can use the same techniques like Trump and Ross do for their deals. So helpful!!!
George does a good job weaving stories of 'How Trump made deals' with the good patterns and processes for real estate investing. Had a few good negotiating conversations and how the deals where won.
