Great book didn't like narration style

Five star content. My only criticism was on the narration. Narrator's voice was pleasant, but she read words like quote and end quote and open parentheses. It was very distracting from topic and, ironically, added waste to the book.

parentheses end parentheses, quotation mark, end q

oK I have the same experiences and qualifications as the author. Its a good executive read but the constant use of parentheses, end parentheses, drove me nuts.

Annoying narrator

Book had great content and I ordered a paperback but the narrator was completely annoying. Ma'am, please don't READ the punctuation but instead allow it to guide your inflection.

open quotes Distracting Narration close quotes

I could not listen to the narration of this book because of the Siri like format. The narrator has a great voice and reads well but includes the words "begin quote, end quote, open parenthesis and close parenthesis" - it might have been ok on occasion but the author uses a lot of quotes and parenthesis.

very Useful Book ... but read it!

Great hands-on info. Narrator had a great voice but ... please don't read quotation marks and web addresses, vocal inflection makes it clear enough.

Idiotic Narration is distracting from the content

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The content of this book is quite good but it is diminished by the way it was narrated, who reads a book and actually reads, start quote! end quote!, start parentheses! end parentheses!. This is idiotic and annoying and very distracting from the content.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Maybe the Author should step in and focus on constant improvement and listen to customer feedback, sack the narrator and find someone who can read the content then this book may become a much higher rated book. Using the combination of ISO, Lean and Six Sigma is a great idea for an improved business process.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Beth Bostic?

Anyone who can read without commenting on the quotes and parentheses!!!!! The tone of your voice should make for the meaning from the Author.....

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

When its all said and done the content is quite reasonable.

clear message awesome content

The content that many of us would think it is boring is clear described in a smooth and interest way. they could put name at the chapters so we can locate the content more easily.

One of the first lean books read

I have been in organizations of which I embraced lean, however always wondered why I still hear from those within who do not embrace. Is this a reflection of poor trickle down from half-vested management, or is there just always going to be acceptable resistance?
