Read this if you want to know WHY things work.

This author taps into the motivation and therefore many of the practices of the stock traders who will be your competitors. If you are new to trading, and specifically if you are interested in day trading, this is the best starting point for you. I actually went through this book 3 times so far. As I apply the principles he lays out in the actual market trading, I go back through with a better understanding of what I leaned in this book, I have picked up many nuances that I had missed the first time around.

Great Listen and easy to understand

Dr Elder had a great way of articulation that make the complexity of market psychology manageable to understand. His analogy of bull and bear in the market provide a great view of how market move. The narrator is also very clear and consistent that make it a great listen.

Great! FYI: it assumes a bit of previous knowledge

The content is excellent. But if you are a true, absolute beginner, as I am, then you will find it difficult to understand what all the terms mean. Like what a stop is, what going long means, shorts, futures, etc. This is of course part of the process of learning and not the author's fault. I don't think this book was written for beginners. Get it anyway because the content really is great but be sure to make a note of all the terms you don't recognize to look them up later! Having listened to this I feel like I am at an advantage over many people despite being an absolute beginner.

The more you read this, the more it makes sense.

Underestimated this book to be just for newbies. The more I trade, the more I get what this book is trying to teach me.
