This audiobook will guide many to success, and has sold millions of printed copies for nearly three quarters of a century. Must have for those that want self development.
Yes! It's at the pinnacle of teaching someone how to attain success.
Having a burning desire for what you want and transmuting that desire into it's monetary equivalent through persistance.
His son born without hearing capacity (physical equipment to support hearing) but through desire he learned to hear through bond conduction of sound.
It was an epiphany! I'm 50 years old now and I'm just acquiring this knowledge.
Wish it was part of my high school's curriculum.
The stories in this book will help you to understand the trials many amazing people have gone through and give you an understanding that you can do what you want as long as you commit.
A very successful man revealing his secrets to well being, not only financially, but in all areas of his life. Interesting, entertaining, and very, very educational.
I just achieved App Master!! I never thought I would make it this far!! Thanks Audible
This is a good book but it's long winded and at times he defently get's off into the weeds and at other times i wished it would just end. A couple good bullets here and there see what you think.
I have been an avid audible listener foot quite some time.it has helped me stay sharp and entertained as well.
this is the book that started it all for every Success teacher/guru . It is the cornerstone and the standard to which all self help books are based. It is an excellent listen . Worth every credit. This is a must have for your audio library
"A business classic!"
This book is an absolutely fantastic look into the what people now call the ?millionaire mindset?. The book is the combination of 20 years of studying some of the greatest inventors, investors and Business men of the time and in fact the century, people like Henry Ford, Alexander Bell, Thomas Edison, and Andrew Carnegie. It was actually Andrew Carnegie who encouraged Hill to write the book and study the great minds of their time.
The book goes through topics such as Imagination and discusses how once a person can imagine something on ones mind then it is possible, Desire, in which he tells of the deaf child who finally heard and how if a person desires something badly enough he can and will achieve it, auto-suggestion and how having positive thinking can affect outcome, procrastination, imagination, the brain itself and fear. The most interesting section, however, I believe is on his ideas of sex transmutation; turning sex drive into a positive force instead of a destruction one. For the 1930?s his ideas were certainly revolutionary and for the most part most of them still hold. Some of the content is a little dated but in general Hill was on the money!
In essence this book is what Richard Parkes Cordock tried to do with the ?millionaire MBA Business Mentoring Program? and his inspiration for the millionaire upgrade in which Hill?s book is constantly referenced.
I honestly believe that this book should be compulsory for anyone studying business in either High School or University. It for me is one of the best books of in the area of business motivation.
The narration at times can be a little flat but it certainly gets the main points across. If you were looking for a book with a little bit more humour and life then Brian Tracey's "Success Mastery Academy" is certainly worth a look and similar topics are discussed.
"must read book"
I am sure if you as somebody who is millionaire he would had read this book. This is a book which should be read atleast 10 times. If anybody read this book 10 times and apply its principle he will surely be rich in any area he desires.
This is one of my fabourite book and everytime I read this book I find new ideas
The original, and outdated, yet still one of the greatest books available. I really enjoyed the narrator, what cannot be said of the other versions. If you're considering this book, choosing this version is a good idea.
Best self help book ever. Changed my way of thinking forever. I am looking forward to a new rich life. Thanks Napoleon for being so clear, concise and truly inspirational.
"Very instructive, but there is more!"
As ever Napoleon Hill's ability to breakdown complex leadership principles is second to none. That said, much of the content comes from his earlier book "The Law of Success". In my opinion it is that earlier book that is the 5 star knock out punch. So in closing this book is certainly outstanding value - rich in content and practical guidance, but "The Law of Success" carries that bit more. The challenge is that there are one or two themes covered in greater detail in this book. If advising I would probably suggest listening to this book first, then the "Law of Success" afterwards to avoid any anti-climax. As the earlier book is simply out of this world brilliant.
"Thoughts are things. Things are thoughts"
Thinking and grow rich has profoundly positively changed how I think and visualise life. I am a thought-reality creator specialising in positive experience and reality.
"Worth the effort."
Not an easy book to listen to. Quite hard going in places but worth the effort.
It's a classic on the printed page and every bit as good (probably even better) on audio as you can listen to great inspiration whilst driving, lying in bed or jogging/ working out!
I am still digesting what I read and I keep going back and reading it every now and then. Everyone should do the same. This is a very powerful book and requires an open mind and patience to digest all the information.
All the characters were my favorites because even though they were placed in different situations they all ended up in the same place: being determined and succeeding. The most impressive two, however, were the little girl and the father who helped his son hear although he was born in conditions incompatible with hearing.
I liked how the voice was perfect for the book. It happened many times that I was looking for a book and didn't end up buying it just because the voice wasn't warming up to the topic of the book.
Life changing lesson
Would recommend this book to anyone, who seeks improvement of self, especially helping to gain a focus on how to succeed.
