Great Tips for Getting What You Want

I loved this audio. I've been following Tonya Reiman on TV for quite some time, and her ideas are great. The tricks, both verbal and nonverbal and her step-by-step advice is priceless. It's a fascinating audio and it will help you get you what you want, when you want it!

Good but need much more powerful voice

The book is good, but Ms. Tonya keeps her voice constant all the way instead of making her voice pitch changeable according to the point she is talking about. this what I hope to see because with the constant voice you could full a sleep.

Glad I said Yes!

My husband and son are big O'Reilly Factor fans so I had already seen Tanya in action. Her book is the perfect vehicle for her to go beyond the quick explanations that she gives on the show. With many of the audible books that are really good, I choose to buy the text for reference. I knew I'd be ordering this one right away. No buyers remorse here.

Helpful and on point

I liked the way the author brought and delivered the ideas of the power of a meaningful conversation and to put attention on the slight details of how everyone have their one non-verbal cues and way to present their ideas. What I didn't loved was the examples of the famous and rich of their body language.

In general is a great book and can help you to understand so many obvious concepts that we tend to forget.

Helpful and specific

After listening to the entire book twice I plan to listen again and grasp more of the concepts. I'd like a hard copy, too for the listings. Tonya explains what has previously been a mystery to me - how to KNOW if someone is lying to you. How to develop rapport. How to get what you want in a given situation. Excellent!

It’s good bruh

I needed something for helping me interact with all people (instead of just pua stuff) and I’d say between this book and “the like switch”, you’ll have a pretty awesome foundation. This book helps you learn about yourself and how you communicate as well as how others around you communicate towards you. I’ve never written a review before but this chick knows what she’s talking about. I’m super curious about her dating book because this stuff alone along with that “like switch” book has already helped me with a few females.

Common Sense

Reiman offers nothing revolutionary in her book. It basically consists of structural steps and sound factors on persuasive skill; which are more of some common sense to most people. Numerous factors (things one may already practicing without labels - things like Priming) are highlighted in the book. All in all, nothing revolutionary. however can serve as reminder on being more persuasive.

Misleading title

I bought this audiobook hoping for a well written audiobook on *persuasion*. Instead, what I got was a disjointed ramble on body language. I consider body language to be only one element of persuasion. Other elements include value proposition, attitude, listening, structuring your meeting/call, preparation etc.

The only (non-body language) gem I got was this: When you make a request, include the word "because". Eg Can you get me a glass of water because I want one. Apparently, the word "because" prompts people to take you seriously and accommodate your request. Nice tip but it wasn't enough.

So,in conclusion, the content and delivery were off in this book. I'd recommend you skip it.
