Any additional comments?

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. This is a guide for women to becom emotionally and intellectually mature in the work place, as well as personal relationships. I wish I would have read something like these in my early teens. This would be a great gift for a woman we love, like a daughter, or niece, or even an older woman that might be struggling with overcoming social and emotional issues.

Required listening for entering the workforce!

This is the best compilation of advice to women entering the workforce that I've heard in a long time. I pulled back one star for 1) mental whiplash when switching between articles or speeches given. There are insufficient audio cues on occasion, such as when the author gave a talk to the YMCA and the hapless listener is confused by the sudden change, 2) repetition of anecdotes from the author's life to the point of being able to repeat the bedpan story and others, and 3) portions that are thinly veiled commercials.

That being said, I would love to see this become mandatory listening for high school seniors. Great advice, good reality check about changing one's attitudes, uplifting and empowering interviews with successful women other than the author giving the voice of experience, and suggestions how to handle sabotage and sexual harassment.

The aim is obviously for corporate America, since that is where the vast majority will be employed at some point in time. Densely packed with information, clearly presented by the narrator, I heartily recommend this one. I found myself nodding in agreement in places as I listened.

This would make a good graduation present.

Confidence booster

I hadn't ever really considered just how much I'm always apologizing for even little things. This will help you take your power back. Become more assertive, boost your confidence and self worth. Loved it.

The narrator was perfect for this book. Very well done.

Great pratical advice

What did you love best about The Unapologetic Woman?

The book is well written, combining information with personal stories, this makes the information easier to remember and the book more interesting. It contains great advise for every woman and the men who care about them.

I saw myself is many of the chapters and I'll be applying the advise as I work on not saying sorry for things where I'm not at fault.

Not what I expected

I was really looking forward to this book, but once I started it, it was narrated so slowly I had to increase speed as to not feel like I was listening to a sloth. Beyond the narrator, the content was full of obvious details. I was very disappointed.
