The Truth About Lies in the Workplace: How to Spot Liars and What to Do About Them

Carol Kinsey Goman, a leading workplace body language expert, combines her own experiences with the latest research to identify 50 subtle physical and vocal cues that will enable you to spot destructive workplace lies. She analyzes the role we play in supporting lies - how our own vanities, desires, self-deceptions, and rationalizations allow us to be duped. And once you detect a lie, she provides tactical advice on how to respond, whether the liar is above, below, or on the same level as you - even if it's your boss.

What would have made The Truth About Lies in the Workplace better?

Information based on actually research rather than opinion

What do you think your next listen will be?

Probably non-fiction - oh wait this was.

How could the performance have been better?

The information given so simplistic I don't think it was a problem of the performer but the author

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment

    Any additional comments?

The author is obvious a good observer but makes too many leaps to be believable. She makes too few references to actual research and minimizes or neglects to mention research that conflicts with OPINION.

    Strongly discourage purchasing.
