My wife and I were led to this book, just as we were beginning to wake up to the fact that we wanted, needed, to do something different. We're only in the early stages, but already good things are happening! We have hope and clarity now, which is giving us focus and determination . We've put some money away, already paid off one debt and are aggressively working down the next debt. My self discipline is increasing with each goal met, and that new-found self discipline itself feels great. On top of that, as soon as we committed to doing this, I "coincidently" was given a new job opportunity which will greatly increase my ability to pay down debt and build a better financial future based the principles outlined in Total Money Makover. I feel that now that we're on the right track, God is stepping in in a big way to help us out!

A great get off your butt and do it book.

They days you stuggle with finances and wonder whats wrong. This book will be a light shinning on the darkness.

A great wake up call.

I have read some reviews which describe Dave's narration as Angry in some parts. I must admit I was a bit taken back initially but in the end found myself laughing out loud to some of his antics. Also some people were upset about his religious moments. I am not religious but have found through life generally with all tutors you take what works for you and leave out other areas. I found this audio book as extremely motivational, simple and has definitely set me on a new path with my finances. Thanks Dave for your insight.

What did you love best about The Total Money Makeover?

Everything. Dave's performance is really engaging. The total Money Makeover system is just amazing. It's simplicity might make you think "It cannot be so simple. I have studies, degrees, thousands of hours working on complex topics and I cannot believe a simple system based on 7 baby steps is the solution...", but it is so simple. It requires courage and determination, but you can feel the truth behind.

I am sorry, but I cannot compare The Total Money Makeover with any other book. The simplicity of the steps and principles is just incomparable. You can complicate your financial life and your real life in many ways. Dave eliminates all that complexity and provide a clear path

Have you listened to any of Dave Ramsey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I listen to a Dave Ramsey's audio-book, so I cannot compare. His performance is just amazing. He kept me fully engaged from the beginning till the end.

Great book

Best book I've read in a long time. Straight and to the point. We all need a wake up call and this was mine. Absolutely love it! Can't wait to see where his advise and tips take me in life. Highly recommended book. Was hesitant cause of reviews I saw of Author yelling and rambling. I didn't get that. Have an open mind. He's obviously doing something right. Everyone should read this book.

Great book

Reality check, I wish I had received this info when I was 18!!!! I'm now 36 and just realizing I need to get moving with the steps in this book.
