"The strength of this book is that it is a straightforward motivational tool. He provides the brutally direct truth about the hard work it takes to become free of debt, and his directness is a great part of the book's charm." (Publishers Weekly)
Dave Ramsey helps define wealth and how to make it a realistic goal and shows how our world defines it wrong and normal is broke and over 60% believe this lie to the point they can not retire! Thanks Dave for showing another path that has proven itself time and again.
I really loved this book. it had a lot of details on how to manage money and get out of debt. I will recommend this book to all my family and friends.
I would recommend this book to everyone! There is something for everyone in all stages of life. I initially decided to read this book after listening to Dave's podcast over the past 2 weeks. I found that most of his teachings made perfect sense to me and I found myself ready to "live like no one else, so I could LIVE like no one else". I'm sure that I will go back to this book often as I complete my baby steps.
Great book! Get ready to get gazelle intense! Dave is passionate about this program and this book spells it out to you. Be ready to change your mindset on how to manage money WITHOUT debt.
Love the content. Practical advise for anyone and everyone. I did not care for the yelling and stressful tone of the performance, but that is the personality of the author, so does accentuate the message.
I enjoyed this book but I listen to Dave every day so I knew what to expect
I listened to this book since he's so influential in the media. Thousands have given the accolades, so I will address a few other nuances here. Like some reviewers, I am actually offended by his tone of voice in the audio book. There is no need for that! Kudos to him for tapping into the Christian Church circuit and providing advice for those who need it. He gives simple, straight-forward advice that works in most of the country, where the cost of a house may be four times your annual income. For us San Francisco Bay readers, it won't work - well, at least not in any decent time frame. Housing may be over ten times your income, and moving out of state is not the solution. Take what good advice as you can and adapt it to where you live.
This book has changed my life and the lives of everyone in my family. It has changed my family tree. If you can filter/accept/ignore the religious points (it wasn't too much to handle) the 7 steps just make sense. It's changed the way I look at money, and inspired me to make the needed changes to retire with dignity and actually leave a legacy for my kids. This are going to be tough in the short to so that they can be amazing i. the long term.
