Well that wouldn't be a fair comparison since this is the only audiobook I've listened to on this subject. Dumb question.
uuhh, good ending I guess. Talks about the renewal cycle and how to build long term relationships with clients, how to re-sign them, etc etc.
No but he sounds very professional, has a clear voice.
I listened to all of it in two cardio sessions.
This is not really a "sales" book. It does explain basic sales skills that are well pretty basic (i.e. difference between open and closed questions, etc.) but I still like this book for two reasons...
1. The author does a fine job of applying these sales skills (the basic and more advanced ones that are talked about in 2nd half of book) to VERY environment specific situations (i.e. working with a first-time client in a health club setting).
2. The sales process is tight. Its broken down into 5 steps and then broken down into more steps from there including role-plays between the trainer and client which is very cool to listen to. And I tell ya what, some of the techniques may sound like tricks but they are not. They are a form of conversational NLP hypnosis which I've learned about from many sources. Never though have I seen anyone apply this tech to our industry, so if you are a pt in a gym it worth the read.
Meh, it was cheap so I would purchase other books hoping for some insight, hopefully other books in the future, will actually be insightful, this book however wasn't. If your Pt courses covered sales, then this book is a waste of money, Nasm didn't get very detailed about sales, and this book offers even lesser insight than my Nasm Pt course, I would reccommend, getting a regular marketing or business book, and using that as your guide.
I would never read a book this vague, its sort of like when your in the book store, and you read the table of contents, and then skim a few pages, and see that your basically reading a pamphlet because no real information is contained in the pages of the book.
Not really, someone will read this review and still buy the book anyways, I mean if you don't have time to pull the information out of your pt course about sales, then this is like a half-ass substitute, if you need to think about ways to increase your sales, but overall its just better to get a regular sales book and apply it to pt sells
the book kind of contains some shady tactics, you know the kind that when people try to use, you shut them down.
