Some lessons are motivational and inspirational; many are hardball business how-to's that apply in any industry and any type of transaction. Key Peebles Principles include:

  • Make your money going into the deal
  • Control of the deal is more important than cash
  • Being lucky means being ready
  • If the key doesn't fit, change the lock
  • Be a bulldog on details
  • Listen to your first instinct
  • Respond quickly to attacks
  • Find out what the other side really wants and give it to them
  • Turn vinegar into wine; setbacks are opportunities in disguise
  • Seeing value is everything
  • Be the last man standing

Colorful and detailed behind-the-scenes accounts of each transaction provide a real-world business context for each principle and show you how to apply them in practice.

Great story line, the principles have given me a strong road map to get my business moving. Mr. Peerless gives us an honest look at business and politics and how to side step the red tape.

Where does The Peebles Principles rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would rank this book within the top 10 books that I have listened to on Audible.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Peebles Principles?

One of the biggest takeaways that I found in this book was, look for the opportunities in the setbacks. I loved that he challenged himself to find the deal inside the deal that was falling apart in each transaction. As you listen to this book, you'll understand what I am saying.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I listened to this book while commuting. So it took me a couple of days. I have a 30-45mins in the morning while driving. So I listend to it then.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The beginning is kinda interesting, but it kinda gets down from there. Mainly bragging by numbers, some nice bits of information here and there.
