    "Small criticism"

Overall, I am very happy with my NYT subscription. However, I do find that some articles seem to end abruptly and seem to cut off the last few words of the speaker. In other words, there is some kind of "transition" problem between articles. If this could be fixed, the product would be perfect!

    "Perfect timing"

Before I go to the gym, I download the day's news as condensed by the Times. The audio editors succeed in selecting the day's most interesting and relevant stories and listening to them makes my workout zip by without boredom or tedium.

The timing is usually such that my workout ends a bit before the recording does, so I may spend a few minutes on the bench in the locker room to hear the final op-ed column read to me. Of course, if it happens to be one of Safire's, I don't bother and head to the shower instead.

    "New YorksTimes"

I enjoy listening to the NYT every morning. Technically the editing could be better. There is dead space in the front end of stories and the editor clips the end of the stories. It makes for annoying listening.

    "Great"

I absolutely love this!!! Every morning i get up, download this to my ipod and take off for my morning commute. My commute is an hour on the train every morning, which is just enough time to hear this entire nyt presentation. Its great - i hear all the headlines, i'm on top of the news and if something i heard caught my attention, i look it up later during the day online. This is great for anyone who doesn't have enough time to read the NYT, this will deffinately keep you in the loop and up to date on everything from world news to sports.

    "Great..."

Being an avid NPR listener, I've become accustomed to having informative news programs available. The NYT series arguably does this even better, you can skip past stories that are not of interest, and the program has proved to be a hilight of my day. Sometimes I will opt to listen to the NYT over NPR programming, but it has been most appreciated when there is "nothing else" to listen to on the radio.

"Great Source of News from a Name I Trust"

I download the digest 1st thing in the morning (it has never been late), listen to the news of the day and I feel quite informed. The articles are very well abridged. If I find myself interested in a piece, I simply go to NYT's website and pull up the article. The reader is excellent.

    "Very convenient"

The excerpts chosen to be read provide a broad overview of the day's events. I listen on my way to work and it is fun to pick out the phrases that the NY Times' authors use to 'slant' the various stories. Half of every day's stories are like listening to one long editorial.

The time I save by listening to the NY Times allows me to read the Washington Times, which is 'slanted' in the other direction, as well as the Washington Post, which appears to be the most objective of the three.

Now, if Audible only put the Wash Post into an audio format, I could save a bunch of time every morning!

"Great way to start the day"

I've just tried one month of the Times and find it a great way to start the day. No, it's not like reading the paper cover-to-cover, but it provides a nice overview of what's going on.

The business and sports sections are broad enought to guide me in my later reading. The Front page is a little sparce, but it's only summary after all.

Editorial selections change from day to day, which makes for interesting listening.

This service doesn't replace reading the paper, but is a wonderful way to get an overview of what's going on if you, like me, don't get to spend the time you'd like with the Times until the news is beyond newsworthy.

    "Great for the morning commute"

I have a 45 minute drive every weekday morning and this audio version is perfect (it normally fits completely into that time slot). I used to get the electronic version of the NYT, but I never had time to read it at the start of the day. While serving in the Canadian public safety sector, I deal with many US based technology and service vendors and many peers in US law enforcement and this audio version provides me with a critical US perspective on international and US domestic affairs that better prepares me for my work day.

"Edge on a fast paced life"

Life on the go just got easier. For many of us, we never get a chance to sit and read a newspaper. Time is money. Now, Audible makes it possible to listen to the newspaper while on the go. Technology has made it possible to remain on the go ad still enjoy our paper with a coffee (however no table and chair needed).
