Important insight

Wish I had read this one years ago. Have your kids read it too, it will provide motivation that is more valuable than anything else you might try to give them. Bottom line, it explains via examples, just why high income and wealth often have inverse correlation.

Wow

I loved the depth and detail of this book. While the figures can be difficult to stand up to over many hours, the information is still extremely useful. I recommend this book to EVERYONE who cares about their well being.

A little dry, but great knowledge gained

If you could sum up The Millionaire Next Door in three words, what would they be?

Insightful. The only people who wouldn't be surprised at the statistical research in this book are the actual millionaires themselves. Fascinating to see that they are mostly ordinary people living humble lives.

What other book might you compare The Millionaire Next Door to and why?

Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Both books overlap nicely in that they focus on wealthy people's smart use of money.

What three words best describe Cotter Smith???s voice?

Adequate and fitting for a book of this gravity. Not exciting, but probably not supposed to be for the nature of this content.

Informative

Well this is the first audiobook I'm listening to. So I have to say that the audio quality was awesome. The narrator's ability to give the information as if He was talking to me directly is just great. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is aiming at financial independence.

Behaviors of the Wealthy Explained

I loved this book. The authors explain in detail why people who make good money, basically, stay broke.

The delivery of the story by the reader is a little dry, and lacking proper tonal inflection, but the guts of the story is what is important, so important that it’s worth dealing with the dry delivery. BEAR WITH IT!

I now have more ideas on what to do to save, invest, and buy. There are lessons on raising children to be positively money conscious. I also have better knowledge of what to do with my money when I leave this existence.

Dated, but interesting.

This book is worth a listen. Although much of it seems to be dated, the underlying principles are still true. If you are into personal finance, this book is probably worth your time.

The truth about acquiring and maintaining wealth.

It contained valuable information about the path to financial independence. There is a difference between having money and financial independence. In the words of Kipling, “Deal with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same”
