Dated numbers but great book

My wife and I live on less than 50% of our net income. This book motivated us to save and invest even more!

Great Book

I really like the book, it is knowledgeable and easy to follow. The only thing I didn’t like were how long the chapters are, over an hour per chapter.

One of the best books you'll ever read...

My husband and I both have listened to this book 5+ times and continue loving it. It's motivating, educational, and easy to follow along with. Great advice and straightforward tips on how to grow wealth. Plus, the presenters are very easy to listen to!

The numbers may be outdated, but the values aren't

What did you love best about The Millionaire Next Door?

As a millennial it really opened my eyes to how I was spending my money, and made me think about things I didn't even consider before the book.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Wealth and Income are two completely different things.

Any additional comments?

This book really changed my life, my and my girlfriend instantly applied the values I learned from this book to our daily lives and the stress has disappeared along with the "want" of normal day consumption. We're much more frugal and looking forward to the future.

The reason I gave the story 4 stars is that the book deals a lot with numbers, but because of the books age the numbers are very different than today.

A paradigm shift all the way through!

I wanted to understand the Millionaires mindset. This book taught me much more than that.

Excellent study on what makes people millionaires

Would you listen to The Millionaire Next Door again? Why?

Yes... the book dispels a lot of myths about millionaires. It is interesting how income is not the main determining factor of accumulating wealth, and that middle class incomes often become millionaires, while many high income individuals end up broke. It is about spending and saving... the book gives some excellent examples of patterns of those that accumulate a lot of financial wealth.

Very interesting/gets dry in places

The information was quite informative and very interesting. A good read but be prepared for lots of numbers, stats and percentages. It's gets a little dry but worth the time.
