I loved the audio version so much, I immediately went out and bought the unabridged book. You can have a life changing experience if you truly take what Dr. Schwartz says to heart (listen and apply).

~How to develop the power of belief
~Steps to build confidence and destroy fear
~How to think and dream creatively
~Ways to harness and develop your ideas
~Managing your environment
~Improving relationships with people
~Turning defeat into victory
~Using goals to help you grow
~How to think like a Leader
...and much, much more.
If I could only recommend one book to you, this would be it. What do you have to lose? Is the risk of wasting $8.95 more important than possibly finding success and happiness for the rest of your life?
This is a very concise book on thinking beyond your immediate circumstance and taking a different perspective. The author encourages you to get beyond reacting to others and setting your own course in life. I found the book very helpful but needed to listen to it twice as it gets right to the point.
The content of this book is written in a very simple format which is great for negaholics that are trying to make a real change in their lives. For those who follow Covey and Frankl, this book confirms many if not all of their teachings
I listen to a lot of motivational audio books and read some as well. Often times they are hit or miss. This book was just GREAT! I loved it and learned a lot from it. It gives great examples that you can actually relate to.
I listen to a lot of self help books (believe me I need it) and I found this one to be one of the best. The multiple narrators and scenes gave the book a liveliness I haven't encountered before. The tips were practical and easily applicable to daily life. The sheer positive ness of this book makes you want to jump start your life. It’s a good one!
I loved this book and every so often go back and listen to it again as there is so much inspiration in it. Yeah, I know some people say it's just a load of self-improvement mantras rehashed into a new pot, but I love the way it's presented, the change in voices, the changes in tempo and you can't help smiling once you've been listening to it. My only minor niggle is the 'plastic' music used to divide the sections - but I'll forgive this for the feel-good factor.
This book is very motivational and has good ideas. I don't know that the techniques were cutting edge, but are still very practical and enduring. I actually listened to the book twice.
Read the book over 10 years ago (and many times since), then got the audio. Simple & Easy to follow. This book is a classic. I only wish it were unabrigded.
This is a great book for me. It definitely keeps me motivated on a daily basis. I love the examples and it provides great formulas for both professional and personal environments. If anyone is willing to move up in the world, and want to strategically make effective plans throughout their lives, it starts with this material.
"This is old school, things have moved on!"
Had this book provided some grounding and research as to why the author was suggesting to do the things he did then it would have been parallel with many more contemporary offerings. More substance would have improved this read immeasurably.
A talk at you approach of old school American, motivational "positive mental attitude." When there are such great books around about the psychology of how our mind works and how to control, ("The Chimp Paradox" by Steve Peters for example) this left me cold as it just felt like a bunch of buzz words and nothing more
The narrator was okay, fairly easy to listen to but given the type of book it was the content which was at fault more than the narrator.
It just feels as though this book is now out of date. Research and evidence is what is required. Its a big title but little more. A real shame!
It was amazing book. Thank you. Really helped me learn. So good. Can't believe how much enjoyed. So good. The best
"Nothing new under the sun"
I thought this was a business book but it turns out to be another self help book. Full of the same old cliche's you have heard a 1000 times before, with nothing new added. Lost patience after about an hour. Unoriginal and boring. Not recommended!
"When did we forget how to do this...?"
When we were kids, it was easy to think BIG! Big was best - our dreams and hopes were great and unlimited, then somewhere along the line, we forgot how to think BIG! This book is a great reminder of just how to do this. Written in a clear, unfussy style, it shows how think BIG can pay off in all areas of your life!
