Enjoyed overall, some criticism

I enjoyed the positive thinking aspect of the book and understand the general sentiment, however I can't help but wonder how this applies if one occupies a less privileged identity. Can this really be applied to those who are not white, straight cis males?

Surely it overlooks societal limitations that come into play like race, gender, etc. It feels reductive in this way, suggesting that if one experiences discrimination or lives in an oppressive system that this could all be changed by more positive thinking and asking for help? I'm trying to take in the overall message of the book, but notice this question keeps popping up in my head.

Great insights

If I had rated this after the first listen I probably would have given it 3 stars, but when I was driving and was going to listen to a book my 10 year old daughter always wanted "Instant Millionaire" So after about the 5th listen on a road trip "I heard it!" We have both since listened to it again a number or times.

Great book - short and sweet

Narrator seemed a bit tired and raspy, but the book was an excellent reminder on some key aspects of building wealth. Thoroughly enjoyed and wouldn recommend.

Follow similar format as Richest Man in Babylon and The Greatest Salesman in The World. So if you liked those, you'll like this book.

A lot of stuff in a small package

Packaging this information in a parable form is unique. An amazing amount of information in a very short audio book. I had listened to several other books on the subject before listening to this one, and I would recommend the same. What I found this audiobook did for me was to cement in and clarify several of the ideas presented by others on this subject. I would think if you started with this, several of the more subtle messages might be lost. As something to tie it all together, I thought this was excellent.

The parable is presented in the style of an old time radio story. This presentation style might not work for everyone, but I really enjoyed it.
