Helpful content, needs slower narration

I liked the content and it gave me things to think about within myself.
My issue with the narration may just be with the editing. It often seemed like there was no pause in between chapters, headings, stanzas.
At times it was hard to relate with the stories they told because I am in a different situation than they are.

Great book

Highly recommended for church leaders! (Author needs to check Chapter 11 which starts with “chapter 8”.)

A must read for every pastor

This book is rich with wisdom and practical advice. It is up close and personal in the real life of pastoral ministry so it is extremely relevant. But be warned. This book will challenge you personally and calls for change in the culture, practice and expectations in typical evangelical church leadership. If you are serious about cultivating a personal transforming relationship with Christ that fuels your life and leadership. This book is for you.

Good food for thought for any Christian

Though I'm not a formal leader (pastor, small group leader, business manager etc), I believe leadership presents itself in micro and macro ways (as big as leading a church to as small as guiding a friend), so I found the contents of this book very relevant to my Christian walk. It challenged me to recognize my shadows, reflect on how I prioritize God in my decisions, and more. Scazzero uses a lot of personal experience and case studies to show the spectrum of situations that one may encounter, which I found helpful. There are little "quizzes"/assessments at the end of each chapter to apply the contents to your own life. One thing I would do differently: I would buy the physical book. I'm a visual person and I want to take more time reading this book, soaking it in and exploring my own experiences, so that'll be my next step. But as for the book in itself, it definitely started the conversation between me and my fellowship group, and I recommend it to others too, because in the end we are the leaders of our own lives who make the choices to follow Jesus.

Excellent for leaders and aspiring leaders

This book has helped me see that working in Gods plan also includes Gods sabbath not as a law or rule but as a safeguard for my soul which results in a better relationship with God and better over all work quality. 10/10 would recommend everyone to read one of the books in the series. Whichever is most applicable to you.

Disorienting in the best way

As a church leader, this book was beyond helpful. I have shared multiple times with people and continued to grow in my own leadership. I bought the book and listened to audible. So good!
