Author and book reader Robin Sol Lieberman's voice provides not only "easy listening" but more than that her voice draws the reader into the book's messages.

I was hooked from the get go and though I have not yet finished the book all that I have heard so far is soul stirring.

Her style is very pleasing to the ear, beautiful tone and no rushing, just a very natural presentation with perfect emphasis to help guide the listener through the audio book.

Would you listen to The Charisma Code again? Why?

Yes, 1) There are solid useful tools here. If you like to grow, or to help others grow, this books has some gems. There's more to take in than you are likely to get in a single read; 2) The author narrates. She is wonderfully transparent and fun (she sings, laughs at herself, talks to you... all without breaking the spell... her own charisma comes through); 3) The writing is fluid and enjoyable.

What other book might you compare The Charisma Code to and why?

This book is in line with others in the fields of human potential, mindfulness, and leadership, e.g., Ekhart Tolle, Miguel Ruiz, Anthony Robbins, Seth Goden, Malcolm Gladwell (a bit), etc.

Which character – as performed by Robin Sol Lieberman – was your favorite?

As mentioned earlier, Ms. Lieberman does a wonderful job of narrating. It feels as though she's sitting right there with you, and she's very interested in an authentic connection!

What did you learn from The Charisma Code that you would use in your daily life?

There are many good ideas throughout, but my favorite single piece of advice from this book is the power of simply, "looking for the value in others." If each of us genuinely did that in all of our encounters, it would be a very different world.

Any additional comments?

The book operates on many levels. It's about personal peace, health, and happiness, while also addressing the relationship between these individual states and our connections with others. I'm oversimplifying here, but the basic idea is that charisma is the result of passionate authenticity. The book is a meditation on how we can awaken that kind of personal power, as well as exploring the influence that it has on relationships and the world.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Charisma Code to be better than the print version?

I loved the audio because the author, Robin, made her book come alive. She took me on a journey of discovery within myself.

I love the concept of a language beyond words and this book actually gives concrete instruction on how to powerfully connect with people.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to authentically connect with people. Robin's research, travels, and delivery made listening to this book an enjoyable experience.

Inspiring how-to for connection and confidence

What made the experience of listening to The Charisma Code the most enjoyable?

This is one of those very unusual books that transcends the self-help/personal growth category and gives you actual tools to create value in your life. We are increasingly discovering that economic value comes not from products, but transactions--the exchanges between us are the source of value. To make exchanges, we have to connect. That's not always easy for all of us to do--we lack self-confidence or listening skills, or we come from different cultures and speak different languages. How do we connect globally? Lieberman makes the case that future value requires becoming global citizens, and that requires connecting with those who are different from us. This book gives you a set of tools for doing just that––in a language beyond words.

What did you like best about this story?

I find myself using these tools daily, and this book has really helped me in tangible ways--that affect my bottom line! But what I enjoyed most was Robin's voice and delivery. She is a gifted orator and a pleasurable companion on my car stereo!
