"Leadership mega-guru Maxwell...taps a rich vein of corporate angst." (Publishers Weekly)
This book has some great material within. I have read a number of books about leadership over the past couple of years, and I believe this one to have a lot of the important material from each placed into one book. In addition, this book gives good tips on how to work with other ambitious people and still succeed, as well as how to really help your superiors in a way that helps you and your organization. This book is great for anyone who wants to succeed as a professional
This book applies to everyone because it addresses how to lead people from above, below, and next to you. It's a very holistic approach to managing people like your boss, your co-workers, and your underlings. Read it and you'll be more effective.
The more I listen to this packed-full-of-soon-to-be-classic I realize that Dr. Maxwell's teachings apply and will help in every aspect of my life. It is only up to me to follow his guidance. Thanks, Doctor.
Excellent book with good examples, useful information and a great point of view.
This is an excellent work and needs to be must reading for every middle manager that wants to succeed. Also excellent for front line staff that have views of getting into management.
I wanted to download the audio, because I didn 't want to wait for the mail, but Audible.com is protecting the file so bad that I can 't put it on my portable device. So difficult to work with, I can 't believe it.
I don 't have space for the app, but just a MP3 download is to much to ask I suppose...
Really disappointed in the service of audible.com. Such a waste of Time & Money.
yes, if he is aim is to become a team leader or middle manager and like to rub shoulders with superiors.
I will be interesting to have a follow up at exec. level.
Well organized lesson on personal abillity/responsibility when working in any type of organization. More a value system with tools than a functional instruction.
Yes. It is packed with useful information that helps people become leaders. It is easy to understand and easy to follow.
The chapter on learning how to lead across to your peers was the most useful. So often we think that leading is giving orders to others. This chapter was very insightful into how to influence your peers and thus lead them without it feeling that way.
If you are looking for a book on what it takes to become a leader, this is it!
