"Leadership mega-guru Maxwell...taps a rich vein of corporate angst." (Publishers Weekly)
This book applies to everyone because it addresses how to lead people from above, below, and next to you. It's a very holistic approach to managing people like your boss, your co-workers, and your underlings. Read it and you'll be more effective.
This book has some great material within. I have read a number of books about leadership over the past couple of years, and I believe this one to have a lot of the important material from each placed into one book. In addition, this book gives good tips on how to work with other ambitious people and still succeed, as well as how to really help your superiors in a way that helps you and your organization. This book is great for anyone who wants to succeed as a professional
The more I listen to this packed-full-of-soon-to-be-classic I realize that Dr. Maxwell's teachings apply and will help in every aspect of my life. It is only up to me to follow his guidance. Thanks, Doctor.
Excellent book with good examples, useful information and a great point of view.
This is an excellent work and needs to be must reading for every middle manager that wants to succeed. Also excellent for front line staff that have views of getting into management.
I don't believe the information in this book is bad or worthless, but I do think it's mostly common sense principles. If you think of how to be a leader and you have a variety of thoughts that come to mind, they're probably all in this book. Nothing really new or groundbreaking. I wouldn't recommend.
I didn't expect this audio book to be "spot on" about leadership. I've applied the very principles mentioned and everything from being good to great! Now I have my leaders coming to me for insight, my team is more engaged in growing themselves and the company, and I was able to develop an influence with other business groups and COIs in the community. This is worthwhile!
