"Leadership mega-guru Maxwell...taps a rich vein of corporate angst." (Publishers Weekly)
This book applies to everyone because it addresses how to lead people from above, below, and next to you. It's a very holistic approach to managing people like your boss, your co-workers, and your underlings. Read it and you'll be more effective.
This book has some great material within. I have read a number of books about leadership over the past couple of years, and I believe this one to have a lot of the important material from each placed into one book. In addition, this book gives good tips on how to work with other ambitious people and still succeed, as well as how to really help your superiors in a way that helps you and your organization. This book is great for anyone who wants to succeed as a professional
The more I listen to this packed-full-of-soon-to-be-classic I realize that Dr. Maxwell's teachings apply and will help in every aspect of my life. It is only up to me to follow his guidance. Thanks, Doctor.
Excellent book with good examples, useful information and a great point of view.
This is an excellent work and needs to be must reading for every middle manager that wants to succeed. Also excellent for front line staff that have views of getting into management.
I was recommended to read this book, as I am a new leader in my company, and I was very pleased by the content. It is very informative and educational, but also intriguing. I would definitely recommend this book to fellow leaders new and existing to their growth.
John Maxwell is usually spot on and in this book he doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for motivation or the know-how to increase your influence within your organization this book may be what you need.
