Listen to everything by John C. Maxwell.

This is a good general outline, but when it comes down to it there is not enough information to be helpful. The author spends the whole book talking about too many different people to go into any great detail as to why they were good leaders. He just touches the surface in most cases
I found all these laws concise and logical and worthy of frequent review. However I agree with another reviewer in that it is not a "how to" audio recording. For example, if you don't have a leader you can learn from, or if you have a lid on your vision, Maxwell will not tell you how to compensate and what the cost of not having these laws will be. As a leader or somebody planning to be a leader, you must decide where to put your energy, and this recording will not help you there. Although some people do not like the fact that much of his experience comes from leadership in a church, I don't mind. The only possible shortcoming I see is that in that setting one will find fewer toxic characters. However, with his many examples, I believe you will be convinced he has done a fair amount of research, and that these laws are indeed ‘irrefutable’. Before I take my next job, I’ll listen to this to remind me what to look for. Complimentary reading to this is something like Jason Jenning’s “Think Big, Act Small”, where you will see some of these laws confirmed to exist in the best companies.
A book of great life lessons. I don't think it would be a good first leadership book, but rather a checklist to figure out one's strengths and weaknesses.
Book is a collections of 21 diamonds that every Leader by trade should have in his pouch. Coincesly describes reasons, circumstances, principles, rules, mechanics of a Leadership and Precisely tells what needs to done to be a great Leader.
This book is exactly what I need. It hit the nail on so many issues i've been struggling with for so long. I can't tell you how many times the light in my head went on and I though, "Yes that is exactly what I need to be doing". I give this my hightest recomendation. Thank You.
John Maxwell has been involved in a leadership role for more than 30 years and it shows. He breaks down the experiences of himself and other well knowns, gives specific examples of how each law aplies. This is a MUST have for anyone in an type of leadership role. I would recommend listening to this several times, along with reading this book and mastering his fundamentals. John isn't just a talker he is well documented across the globe and lives his own principles that he talks about here.
I liked the book. Overall, I thought it was definitely worth the read. I was a little disappointed in that it did not give good advice on how to build these skills or take action. I was left looking for a little more. I guess I will have to buy the follow-up books.
I thought the book helpful for experienced and new managers alike. Mr. Maxwell clearly stated each of the 21 Laws and backed them up with useful examples. I recommend this book to anyone who is starting a new leadership role, or looking for ways to increase their effecitvenss in their current role.
I found this to be informative, timely and valuable to not only my interpersonal relationships, but the business world as well. Worth reading many times!
Concise, interesting, sensible ideas that are useful in so many aspects of life, be it family or work. The author is a wonderful narrator of his work.
I really don't know what else to say but "BLOODY BRILLIANT" and "INSPIRATIONAL. Every thing in this audio book is great. I love it from start to finish. Maybe not everyone will get the same thing from it as i do but its worth the download.
"Great book on leadership"
