Definitely in the top ten.
I liked the law of intentionality because it is so foundational for all the other laws, and anything else for that matter to stand on.
He was refreshing, lively, and knew how to emphasize the right points of all of the stories in the book.
To see the laws like strong guidelines to be followed, and to always be intentional about following them.
I listened to this book more than three times. I have given away several print copies of this book also. This audio book is a must listen to if you are serious about growth in any area of your life!
I have listened to other John Maxwell audiobooks and expected this one to be pretty good; however, it exceeded my expectations and I thought it was great! I heard John Maxwell talk about it on the EntreLeadership Dave Ramsey podcast. I am goal oriented and I recently got off track with my growth plans due to work and family problems. I felt overwhelmed and lost, yet I feel this audiobook has me back on track. Thanks John!
Right on target!
This is book is design to help with growth in whatever situation you may find yourself in and always John Maxwell is right on target with his insight into leadership development.
I always enjoy John's books and recommend them in training and development for leadership.
This one ranks pretty high on my list of self help motivational reads. I learned quite a bit.
There are not any characters in this book, but none are needed because this one is personally about you!
This is my first, but it won't be my last.
I totally enjoyed the "frog analogy" Mr. Maxwell shared while speaking about people who do, and I will share with you:
5 frogs were sitting on a log, 4 decided to jump off how many was left?
He's a minister. Not an objective view.
I wish Audible will post "Religious" warning on the books.
Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to a friend because it breaks down the very things to focus on for growth.
John Maxwell puts it in easily identifiable ways of application.
I loved the use of stories to provide specific examples, and the excellent use of experts to fortify the authors position.
The application to everyday life.
This audiobook rates high in my opinion as a must listen for those who are seeking for a happiness and a serenity that seems so illusive in our present civilization of our 21st century. It gives definite steps one may take to achieve the feeling of success in one's life...whatever your definition of "success".
When I realized that I can achieve this in my busy life by changing some of my habits and routines and that it is achievable for me.
If it was possible to listen to it all at one sitting, I would have done it.However, my physical limitations prevented me.
I am now re-listening to it for the third time as I get more out of each listening...and what it promises, I am experiencing in my life.
JCM all the "whys" and "hows" to personal growth. This is a great tool for adults young and more mature.
Understanding the need for personal growth is not required to read this. Knowing you CAN be better than what you are 'today', is. If you KNOW you can BE better than you are 'today' then you Must read this. Guides you through how you can apply some simple rules ("Laws") to your life to get yourself to a better You.
This book helped me better understand HOW to make the changes necessary and some fundamental lies society tells about living that are not conducive to grow yourself. Additionally, you felt like the Author (who is the reader) was actually talking to you and teaching you one on one.
What he went through in preparing for a teaching session after talking with his translator in the Ukraine.
No, there is too much information to take in to get all in one sitting.
This was my first Audible Book, and will DEFINITELY NOT be my last, I was very satisfied with 'digesting a book' this way. Makes wish I had not waited until now to start!
