I don't normally listen to "self help" books so I as far as those types of books go I would put it in the top 10.
About the chicken's always drowning when the floods came and the wife advising the husband to switch to raising ducks.
none really stand out that I can recall.
Probably the law of intentionality - you have to focus with intent if you want to grow.
Would like to listen to it again. It is about how you have to take control of your life with purpose and intent and not just let time go by. Not only do we need to take a more active role in our personal development and growth but we are here to help others achieve their best as well.
Developing the person who I can make the greatest impact on - Me.
Yes, I have recommended this book to several friends. John Maxwell at his best here. He explores the roadblocks to growth and why many people never overcome them. Each Law is concluded with an excercize to ensure that you recieve specific instruction through your own guided discovery of what steps need to be taken to ensure that you continue to grow.
John himself, and the stories that he uses from his personal life are always fun and interesting to hear him tell.
John has a distinct style to any of his audio books, they have the feel of sitting across the table from his as they are read. Very easy to listen to, not diluted with complicated verbiage or technical terms. GREAT book.
Become the best version of you
John Maxwell never disappoints and this book is no exception. Extraordinary depth and he nicely ties in his traditional topic of leadership. Maxwell's personal growth is present through the development of his books, and as an author has the utmost integrity. Great read, great knowledge and awesome experience 10/10.
It was insightful, practical and can be applied to daily functions, very easy application, and just an abundance of quotes and insights from all realms of people. A wonderful read for the leader who has a little fear still!
Really liked that Mr. Maxwell did not rely on only telling his story, but he told the stories of numerous other people that crossed paths with him. We all need growth, but some are truly more open to it than others.
No; This one was extraordinary!
Just Do It!
From failures comes experience and maturity.
I recommend this book to those self-actualized individuals who still need a little bit of a push.
I was inspired by the honest and practical approach that the author used in addressing the topic. The anecdotal elaboration was personal and meaningful. I recommend the book.
A personal thank you to Mr. John Maxwell for his mentorship in this book. This is a great book. I recommend getting the kindle version as well so you can take notes and highlight parts for reference purposes.
