gives the right nudge.
Best part of the book was having it read by the author himself. His enthusiasm and knowledge of his content made this a fantastic listen.
the content WAS different from other Get-off-your-rear and #getsomethingdone books because it was specific and up to date. additionally, it is written in a way that can guide a logger or an executive to next steps of a path. Easy read, fun and helpful.

Be prepared to find your purpose and enjoy life
What made the experience of listening to Start the most enjoyable?
The story in conversational. Start is a good story with a practical guide woven into it.
What does Jon Acuff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think an audio book is always better when the author reads it. You get genuine inflection.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
One of the notions presented is that you don't have to be working on your life purpose to be doing your work purposefully. I feel like the advice paid dividends quickly for me.
Fear will tell you that you are too late to do something but, in the same breathe that you should wait to start. Don't wait START now!

A Great Way to Start
Don't listen to those other reviews about name dropping. Jon Acuff's Start is a great book for those looking to "start" something in their lives. Inspiring in ways I never expected, I really enjoyed the audiobook. This is a good read/listen for anyone, whether you have a job, are looking for one, or want to start your own business.

Recommended several times!
I recommend this book to over a dozen people. I love the first half of the book but the second half was not my favorite. Maybe it just wasn't applicable to my life. I think the author has a lot of enthusiasm, motivation and drive. I admire that. It is a fantastic book overall.
