This is the first book I listened at a faster rate, x1.25. The content in this book is excellent. I would not call this book inspirational. It will serve as a good how-to guide to help you improve your communication skills as a leader. You may want to begin with Simon Sinik's book, "Start with Why."
This book is packed full of practical and inspirational tips to help us speak as leaders. While many tips are so simple they are almost "common sense", it is the how the book is arranged, that walks you through the process of speaking as a strong leader. I have my entire executive team reading this book!
Leaders speak to inspire not to inform
It's amazing how after reading this book I was able to improve my speaking by 100%. Not only did I improve but my entire company has now read this book and we are all better. I highly recommend it.
I really wish I would have been taking notes while listening. Many points I already do but there were still lots of thought provoking ideas here. I would recommend this book for anyone who deals with people regardless of where you are in an organization.
If you feel like a leader but your peers do not have the same perception this book helps you convey your inner leadership. Just remember it's not nearly as effective if your peers do not know it. Inspire them into believing! CEOs or management need not to be overly confident and unteachable. No such thing as too humble to better yourself. Grab this book and run with it!
The narrator's voice is good but raspy, but the messages delivered are great.
