Publisher's summary

Many firms struggle with SharePoint. It's been installed, and "set loose". No one is doing the business stuff to make SharePoint succeed. You need a SharePoint roadmap.

SharePoint Roadmap for Collaboration is the indispensable guide for IT and business people wanting to use SharePoint to enhance business collaboration. The roadmap draws upon SharePoint 2007 capabilities but focuses on the business and human side of SharePoint, rather than the technology.

Mostly, GREAT

What made the experience of listening to SharePoint Roadmap for Collaboration the most enjoyable?

Great practical advice and good ideas.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Shorten it - there were more "case studies" than needed, I thought, and there is a whole section on the Seamless Teamwork book and a bunch of testimonials about how awesome it is....which are called "case studies" in the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. But i did listen twice.

Any additional comments?

Took me a little while to get used to narrator's accent and the author's slightly different way of saying things....but by the end I was liking it.

Outdated and total waste of money

First of all this book and information is outdated - relating to SP07 version, it can vaguely be used as a base of suggestive ideas about SP, but a quick YouTube search would provide at least the same or probbably better information.
Apart from that the book is simply not well written - almost the whole first hour of the precious 5 hours and 22 minutes is an intro on family information, disclaimers about being an independent writer, pocket philosophy, and a lot of info about another book the writer wrote (Seamless Teamwork).
The rest is dubiously useful, and could have been much, much shorter.
Last I will mention that the narrator's accent took me some time to get used to.
Total waste of money!
