There are over 150 million blogs out there in the world today, and in order to compete at any level, you must understand the inner workings of search engine optimization. Ranking your blog posts on Google is difficult, and it has become increasingly more so in the wake of Google's many new algorithm changes.
With the introduction of updates like the Google Panda, Google Penguin, User Experience Algorithm, and Exact Match Domains, the entire ranking landscape has changed. What used to work just a couple of years ago for ranking in SEO, no longer works today; the rules are different.
Don't get caught left behind in the blogosphere. Whether you're new to blogging or you've had some experience with it, you have to understand just what it takes to craft your blog posts for the most optimized positioning on Google.

Ok, I wanted to give this book an overall of 5 but I can't. I hate it when authors write a how to book and then leave out the all important priority checklist at the end. Or at least give me a place to go on a website and get it. Heck, I will even take an extra product that I have to buy to get the checklist.
NOTE: to all how to authors out there. If you are going to write a how to book you must provide us with an end of book checklist. Or quick start guide of some kind. You can't just write all this techy stuff and provide us with all this great information, and then leave us totally short with no road map, no goal, no place to start.
Remember we are buying your book because we are totally ignorant of what you are an authority on. Lead us. Guide us. Truly make your book remarkable and deserving of 5 starts and give your reader direction and purpose.
I am sorry no priority checklist, no 5 stars. You don't deserve it no matter how good the book is. NO matter how well it is read and written. No matter how beautifully the book is designed. Look I wanted a checklist so bad that I went and purchased the hard copy book on Amazon, praying there would be a checklist in there. I got the book today. No luck.
Now when I start my blog, I have to poke and pick through each chapter again to find the info I need if I am lucky to even find it. This is a 159 page book, not going to be easy.
So, if you want a book on seo blogging this is a good book with good info and you will get a lot out of it. Just be advised that you will be left hanging on the actual "how to" part. You will have to figure out your own direction or go out on the web and find a priority checklist from someone out there who you don't really know or trust because let's be honest, you didn't buy their book, you bought R.L. Adams book. Nuff Said!
Only reason I'm giving a couple of 4 stars is because there's several sections where the author references url links and Web addresses to check out, as well as code to enter for telling the Google Web spiders where to go or not go.
I personally think I could've gotten a lot more in the written format, yet I never have time to read traditional (except for reading the Neverending Google answers to my Neverending questions. Addicted! Looks like I'm in the biz of making bloggers money, lol.) The benefit of Audible for me is listening while on the move. Therefore, every time something noteworthy came up, I wasn't prepared. Since I couldn't picture what he was talking about, I sort of tuned out during these resource giving moments, then didn't realize when it went back to listenable content. Thank goodness for the 30 second rewind!
That all said, this will be a book I go back to repeatedly, but next time with the expectation of sitting my butt down and taking good notes. This would be a great paperback where you could highlight and tag the pages where he gives awesome resources.
I sincerely appreciate all the hard work the author put in and for sharing what can only come from years of experience. It's worth every penny!
