Tax-Free Wealth is about tax planning concepts and how to use tax laws to your benefit. Tom explains how the tax laws work and how they are designed to reduce your taxes - not to increase them. The audiobook explains how to use the tax laws to your advantage and in ways that will support business owners' vision and growth plans for their companies.
Once listeners understand the basic principles of tax reduction, they can immediately reduce their taxes to the point where, eventually, they may even be able to legally eliminate income taxes and drastically reduce other taxes.

I believe in 10 years I will look back and think this was the audio-book that changed my life. I have listened and read my fair share of business, tax and investing books, but this by far is the BEST one I have ever got my hands/ears on!
Very much so! We are looking at getting highly organized in our business now. Before we just floated by- kinda on a prayer- but it seems easy now to have direction.
Interesting and taxes do not go hand in hand... until now!
Nothing.... Most narrators are boring, to say the least. Not this one!
The only thing I would complain about is that this is only available in audio. I went to the book store to pick up a copy for my in-laws- and it is not in print! Agh...
Robert, get this book in print!!! It is a MUST have in all formats possible.
1. Mandatory depreciation is a magic tax tick? right after telling you that you need to focus on eliminating taxes permanently. He never mentions that depreciation is deducted from your cost basis when the property is sold. (Sorry, mandatory depreciation is not a Magic concept, its not bad, but don't act like you discovered some great strategy!)
2. He keeps promoting the book and other rich dad products as well. I hate to pay for other peoples advertising!
3. Written as an international tax guide makes it too general to do anyone any good. If I am looking for tax ideas in Australia I'll get one for Australia - But I don't live in Australia and don't care about their tax laws.
EntrepreNerd - Looking for good books on tech, life skills and business
This was a decent book and the performance was really good. But, this was not meant for your average tax payer that is getting overwhelmed with the amount of taxes coming out of their check. The person that works 50 hours a week but sees all the fruits of his check go to a government that says they know what to spend his money better than him.
The magic bullet seems to be to start a business, especially real estate, and find all sorts of deductions for that business. If you already own a business, this is great. Take all this advice use it to save tons of money.
But, if you don't own a business, suggesting to start one just for the tax benefits is reckless. What he is not considering in this equation is RISK. To be fair, entrepreneurs are notoriously know for not including risk in their equations. I just wish there were some better ways to save on taxes for your average person.
If I ever start a business, there are lots of things I can deduct.
No, this book was a bit too dry to listen to all in one sitting. Then again, it is a TAX book...
This is a great tax knowledge book, especially if you are invested in real estate. Wheelwright explains the details of the tax law and shows you how to get the most out of your taxes. He teaches you that the tax law is there to benefit the taxpayer, all you have to do is know how to take advantage of it. If you own your own business, especially relating to real estate, this book could save you a ton of money. THIS IS NOT A TAX LOOPHOLE BOOK! This is the cut and dry tax law explained in a new way that enables you to truly take advantage.
This is such a easy-to-listen-to, enlightening book about a "not-so-exciting-subject" that actually makes you excited and interested in learning more about taxes, how they work and how to use the tax law in your favor. I listened to this book twice--just to make sure I got as much as possible out of it, and I'm already implementing a lot of strategies and tips that have made my life easier and my business more tax-friendly and successful.
Lowering your taxes--LEGALLLY--is VERY patriotic! The government rewards you with tax exemptions for doing things they WANT you to do--setting up businesses, creating jobs, investing in housing, etc. The more you learn the more you'll not only want to become wealthy but you'll actually be excited to prepare and create a solid tax plan.
If you own a business this is a MUST have book, it will pay for itself hundreds of times over. It can get complex and some tricky areas I needed to listen to 3 or 4 times to fully understand it, but very well worth it.
When talking with real accountant and real attorney they basically say most of these tricks are not useful or cost effective. By the time one pays to set it all up, pay all the fees, and manage it, the benefits are net null or worse. Keep things simple and have a great documented story for your deductions.
As a tax adviser myself, it is fascinating. I've listened several times and it has positive impact for me when I'm advising my own clients.
"Brilliant a must listen"
This book was very informative, I now know lots about the tax laws that I didn't know and can use in my business. Well explained, and a good listen.
