This book provided the best "how-to" guide to starting the podcast you have wanted to start. John walks you through the process from concept to technology to publishing it on iTunes. He provides resources, guides, communities and tells you how he has successfully launched his podcast. If you busy this book, you also get the amazing video tutorials which are certainly worth the price of the book if not more.
Easy to understand for a newbie. It gave me some tips to get me past some of the humps that are necessary to get my podcast launched and sounding good.
I liked that he took me step by step through creating a podcast.
I will remember most of the information given about good ideas for helping to produce a podcast.
Value! Value! Value!
Wow! John answered all of my questions in less than an hour. To search online for this information would have taken weeks. Plus, John packs his step-by-step guide full of great tips, actionable advice and insights along the way - things I would never have thought of.
Easily worth 10x the purchase price!
It kills me to think of how many years I've wasted driving around in my car and doing house/yard work when I could have been learning.
There are many options for Podcast How-To guides but after listening to "Entrepreneur on Fire" creator John Dumas lay out his step-by-step approach, I felt I made the right choice by selecting his audiobook. At just over an hour, Dumas provides busy listeners with a wealth of hard-won knowledge on this subject in an economical--but impassioned--manner that will leave a reader/listener with a confidence and eagerness to say, "Okay, let's start this thing NOW!" His enthusiasm, humility and expertise--not to mention the authority that comes from backing up everything he says with his own results--make this a very compelling guide to jumping into the unknown and intimidating waters of the podcast. Between the book and his online tutorials, you'll be swimming from the get-go.
As a frequent Audible.com customer, I've come to appreciate hearing these books through the voices of professional readers, but made an exception in this case because it was fun to hear how excited he is about this topic.
Since he wrote this book with a pronounced economy of words, there was nothing superfluous here. Having said that, he wouldn't have added any of his How-To steps unless each was important, if not critical. Therefore, I'll follow his suggestions to the letter.
John Lee is the best. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable with tons of actionable nuggets I look forward to implementing for my podcast. Thank you, JLD
This is my first time listening to John Dumas and I absolutely love his voice. In addition to that, I felt that he gave a LOT of great information without overwhelming his listener with too much information. A lot of books on "how to's" have a tendency to give way too much information, and this has the ability to intimidate one who may have initially had interests in what was being offered. Great balance, short and to the point, but still packed with enough great information.
The guide really is a true step by step from start to finish.
I appreciated him offering links back to his website where I could reference various things discussed throughout the audiobook.
Very appreciative of this. I'm very confident now in going out and creating my own (even though it will not be of a similar vein to his).
I've been thinking about starting a podcast and needed help on where to get started. I got some tips from other podcasters but nothing like what I got from Launch. I'm so glad I have not taken action yet. I feel much more confident moving forward.
"Podcast Launch Fills In The Gaps To Get Started"
If you are interested in how anyone sets up a podcast and publishes it then why not learn from the juggernaut that is John Le Dumas. In less than a year, John has taken an unknown podcast Entrepreneur on Fire to the top of the charts and most importantly kept it there. And keeping it there seems to be the thing that people struggle with. And of course this is where the money is.
The writer goes into basics, but also gives you a few tips that I haven't seen anywhere else such as how to categorise your podcast three times in ITunes.
Definitely the linking from Libsyn to ITunes was most valuable to me.
