This is a fluff piece of BS where the author is way over confident and list a collection of tips and tricks to give a presentation. But in the end it is a mismatch with the way people buy today and misleading.
Out of my entire library this book resides in the top 10.
If Chip and Dan Heath's "Made to Stick" is the "stickiness" of an idea, then "Pitch Anything" is the "applicator". Metaphorically, these two books combine to create the "PostIt Note" of goal driven idea sharing.
I did...and I harnessed the material two days later when pitching my CEO on a new business idea.
This book is not about selling. It is about reaching your audience in a way that harnesses the neuroscience behind how we receive and respond to new information. I should also mention that I was able to speak personally with Oren Klaff before pitching my CEO. He responded to my request for help in less than 48 hrs of my email. Liked the story telling albeit a bit brash but some great everyday references although in the book a little more in the high stakes game for me to relate to.
I love listening and reading books about mindset, entreprenuership, management, leadership, self improvement, and empowerment.
This book is way more than that. It covers aspects of business and sales, but the concepts can be used in your personal life too. I bought it because it was recommended by Internet Business Mastery. I loved it even though I do not pitch. I am developing a product and will be using the techniques Oren describes to help me find investors.
One thing I didnt like was the narration. It was boring and tedious and lacked emotion. Weird also listening to someone read exactly from the book without modifying for the audio audience, you will notice what I mean when you buy it. Thankfully the content is brilliant.
Highly recommended this book if you are an entreprenuer or business owner wanting to learn about human nature and how to identify situations where you could produce a better outcome or the outcome you want.

Not that impressed, boring and lacked emotion. Also think when someone is reading a book that is a recollection of the author and you know they are not the author that maybe they should consider modifying the narration just slightly. As with some of the references in the book that don't make sense in an audio.

Yes. There are few books out there that I would consider reading a second time. I read the hard copy of this book and plan to listen to the Audible version once every year or two.
It has been said that Pitch Anything "belongs on the bookshelf next to Cialdini’s Influence and Strauss’ The Game." There are a few other books written on human influence that I could add to that list, but I think that sums it up. Whether you are in politics, venture capital, sales, business or in any other profession in which influencing others is crucial, trust me: Read this book.
Highly recommend to anyone that wants to develop a stronger sales pitch. Having the buyer chase you instead of the other way around. Traditional sales methods are flipped entirely. I have already applied Oren's techniques into my pitch and I have gained more power over deals.

I was totally captivated by his performance and to be honest I forgot I was listening to a performance. Stephen Bowlby did a great job.
There are many parts of this book that made me smile, laugh, and have WOW moments.
