I could listen to Jon Kabat-Zinn and Daniel Goleman for hours. They have this banter that keeps you interested and the topic of course is what keeps all of us in the world. I mean keeps us " in the world." Keeping yourself in the moment is what keeps us out of the Doctors office, listen and find out for yourself.
Great job Guys and keep-um comin'.
yes. it has practical implication in day-to-day life for everyone who is in corporate culture
Honest, real, valuable for anyone who wants to move beyond standard advice for self-development.
Jon Kabat-Zinn's books have been at the heart of the Mindfulness movement, and the addition of Daniel Goleman speaking of Emotional Intelligence, as well as the warm interchange between these two dear friends make this an extremely enjoyable listen.
Yes. This is the best.
No. But it brought be real joy and as I finished, I wanted to go right back to the beginning and listen again.
If you have any inclination whatsoever to check this out, DO IT!
I listened to it twice wondering if I missed anything. it rather encourages the audience to buy the books of the both authors, which in fact sounds like an hour long commercial. I wanted to return it. the system refused. I would rather get a zen book instead. the content is not what the title is.
"Of very practical help..."
I found this to be a very useful guide to Mindfulness. Having heard a few radio programs and read a few articles, I was keen to understand how it could help me become more focused, less stressed and sleep better.
The book includes a concise background / context for Mindfulness and also includes actual exercises. The exercises support the earlier theory very well and are not over long. A very useful resource which I will keep coming back to.
