The New York Times and USA Today best seller!
The secret to successful word-of-mouth marketing on the social Web is easy: Be likable. A friend's recommendation is more powerful than any advertisement. In the world of Facebook, Twitter, and beyond, that recommendation can travel farther - and faster - than ever before.
LIkeable Social Media helps you harness the power of word-of-mouth marketing to transform your business; listen to your customers and prospects deliver value, excitement, and surprise; and most important, learn how to truly engage your customers and help them spread the word.

"Dave Kerpen's insights and clear, how-to instructions on building brand popularity by truly engaging with customers on Facebook, Twitter, and the many other social media platforms are nothing short of brilliant." (Jim McCann, founder of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM and Celebrations.com)
"Alas, common sense is not so common. Dave takes you on a (sadly, much needed) guided tour of how to be human in a digital world." (Seth Godin, author of Poke the Box)
"Dave gives you what you need: practical, specific how-to advice to get people talking about you." (Andy Sernovitz, author of Word of Mouth Marketing: How Smart Companies Get People Talking)
The book offers about 2 key insights (don't broadcast but listen and always be honest) and goes a long way to explain these from all kind of angles. The way Dave elaborates, doesn't add much to the basic insight,s so after a couple of chapters I just listened to the title and the intro and it got really boaring and repetitive.
I've already recommended Dave Kerpen's Likeable Social Media to my teammates - he's got me thinking about how I can leverage his concepts in my professional life. The book is written to be engaging for all levels of expertise in social media and I'd highly recommend to anyone - from the pros looking to spark some creative ideas or explore best practices to beginners looking to capitalize on this emerging communications medium.
Contagious, Content Marketing Inc.
I didn't think he was too dynamic, but I always appreciate being able to learn on the go!
Learning about his own business' B2B/client acquisition strategy.
Folks at Facebook.
Performance was ok, but it was hard to appreciate it when content was so shallow.
Disappointment, this material isn't worth a book that you would pay money - it just a series of self promoting blog posts.
Note to self: do your background work better, don't buy books from authors that clearly have self promoting in mind.
Facebook centric and a little dated though most of the principles apply across social networks.
Well read though the voice grated after a while... Sounded a little cheesy.
One of the better books about marketing through Social Media.
Some good ideas, some well outdated now as this was recorded over 6 years ago. Mostly self promotion of his company.
