There are no new skills taught here, just an eye opening experience of seeing people for their Human qualities and not their performance of associated rolls in life. Very, very good for not just leaders of organizations but anyone who interacts with others...ever!

This has been my favorite. Now, that is only out of four books, but I liked it a lot.
I didn't have a favorite Character.
He gives a particular voice and personality to the characters that I wouldn't have given them while reading the book.
There were parts that tugged at my heart strings.
I would recommend this book for people who have negative attitudes about coworkers. I might even require it if I had that kind of power.
This book is all about how we miss treating others in the ways we should. If we treated others right and they were able to reciprocate our world would be a very different place.
I will work to make sure that I am aware of being in the box and try hard to get back out.

Leaders are readers. Audiobooks count as reading right?
I heard a speaker say "if you are pointing your finger at someone else, you need to realize that three fingers are pointed back at yourself." That might be the best way to describe this book. It constantly turns it back on the reader to seriously examine their own problems and areas of self deception.
This book was recommended to me from a speaker and author whose focus is leadership.
I think it is a great listen for all developing leaders (which is hopefully every leader).

I like to think that the book is about which perspective are you taking: Ego or Soul.
If it's from closed, self defensive, justifying, blaming, me against all, dog eat dog, then you are in the box or you are all your Ego.

Began this thinking it was a simple-minded exercise in the obvious. If you can prevail upon yourself to acknowledge that most relationship problems stem fundamentally from our natural disinclination to recognize the truth about ourselves, you will find the material accessible and illuminating. May save my marriage.

A new way of presenting an old truth - the family, the business, the world - are more livable, productive and fun IF people focus on the "other" rather than on themselves. This easily understood, but difficult to achieve, truism is restated every generation and rightly so, we need reminding on a regular basis.
