I have read my share of business books and this one is surprisingly good. There are lots of books about how to be THE leader, but this one recognizes that you are most likely ONE of the leaders with your own boss to report to. I thought that the vignettes of other leaders helped to characterize many points and the author seemed careful about keeping the examples as tangible as possible.
It was well narrated and a pretty easy listen.
This book provides many great tips. I am strongly recommending that you read it, because it helps me and I warrant it cans the same to you as well.
"Not a single original idea and misleading title"
For anyone who has never read a book on leadership in general, you would find this to be a useful introduction. For the rest of us who are trying to deepen our insights and be challenged with new and original ideas in our quest to influance sideways and upward... well - rather read something else. The book is filled with cliche's. Furthermore, I do not know how they relate the title to the contents. This book is not about leading up, but about leadership in general.
Rather look into "Linchpin", "360 degree leader" and "how to become CEO". Another book not on Audible is "The art of WOO" - excellent read on influance.
