Great place to start

This is a great philosophical approach to being successful in both sales and life. If only more people would take this approach to sales then there would be no “used car salesman” stereotype. I would recommend to anyone not just sales personnel.

The Mistake Not Mentioned

The biggest mistake was the one Todd didn't even mention...so I will: The #1 mistake is not getting this book! Todd Duncan is by far the best sales trainer. He doesn't fill you with hype and get you artificially pumped. He gives you real strategies. This audiobook will help keep you from sabatoging your sales career...even if you don't think you will. This audiobook will help you reduce work time and enhance your life while making more money.

Outstanding

I've read and listened to some of the most popular; Blanchard, Tracy, Hopkins, Ziglar and others. Todd Duncan is one of the best. I always thought his teachings were limited to the mortgage business, which I am not part of. Not so, this book is for anyone in any industry, who is looking to increase their personal sales. I have recommended it to all of my sales associates.

Even Better than High Trust Selling

Would you listen to Killing the Sale again? Why?

I read Killing the Sale about 5 years ago and was happy to see it on Audible. Listening to it again brought back some great ideas and strategies I had gotten away from. A MUST read and a good re-read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Killing the Sale?

The part about how "moonlighting" - AKA being a workaholic takes a real toll on sales people was eye-opening and an important message to hear again.

What does Todd Duncan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Todd's inflection in his voice at key points and with key concepts makes this a great book to listen to instead of just reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I like to take it one chapter at a time and go back to listen to key-concepts several times.

good

i'd have to say it's among the best sales books i've read but i think the concept is only actually good for established clients, not prospective clients

Why Bother

These books of this type get so tiring, they all preach the same jargon and the foolosh people like myself purchase these types of things looking for a hidden secret to prosperity.
Don't waste your time..this one ends abruptly with no magic pill ever offered
