I found embedding some very important philosophies in this practical story easy to relate to in a real-life way. There is a message here for everyone regardless on perceived status or occupation.
The book does an amazing job at demonstrating via a story the powerful lessons that Bob Burg, and John David Mann have been sharing with us in previous books.
I have listened to the book three times now and each time I have taken away more nuggets of value. I listen to this one in the car on my way to appointments. It helps me stay in the mindset that it is all about them and not me. Since I have been exposed to the books by Burg and Mann my personal and professional life has improved greatly.
Take the time to listen to this one. You will find it to be powerful and it just might help change your life.

The authors are the performers and both do a good job at delivering the book in an enjoyable manner.
If you are looking to improve your results with clients or perhaps with the people who are important to you in your life listen to this book.
I love self-help lessons hidden within great stories and this was precisely that. The only complaint I have was with the editing and playback. For me it jumped a couple times to where I thought my phone had glitches or I accidentally hit a button. But after rewinding and playing it back a few times I realized it was the edit. Maybe it was a glitch, I dunno. Either way it was distracting. But a great listen overall.
As far as books go this might not be a top 10 book you keep coming back to but it certainly will be the book you refer to when you know you need a little more focus...and in the right areas. Much like many of my other 'self help' style books this is a great journey that really will get a good deal of use over the reminder of your personal and professional life
The story really ties together well with characters you can relate to, a situation we can all imagine or transpose onto our own lives and issues faced the we have all stared down. That makes this very easy to synthesis into our own issues.
While I think you could easily listen to the whole book in one session I would like to think that this is better absorbed in bites that can be digested and savoured. I found myself listening to chapters and then wanting to change the world as I applied what I had heard. I cannot say that everyone will feel the same but certainly this is a book that if you do listen to in one session you will be coming back again to get the texture and flavour of each chapter.
Book like these have become very popular now..Soup, The Energy Bus, Who moved my cheese and Zapped (Last 2 are the older generation of this style) but it is easy to see why. Learning through storytelling (much like leading through storytelling) has become a whole field that is very effective. This book is no different and certainly up there with some of the best. I really took a lot out of this and have already felt the change (as well as seen the change) in my style back to the certre. If you are a leader and have potentially lost your way, or a leader that wants to stay on the right path then this is for you...in fact if you are an aspiring leader then here is a chance to get a head start on everyone else...
Loved the narrative of the story.......lessons embedded in the story will help you become a better leader in your industry. Highly recommend it for anyone ready to move up in their company, or even anyone ready to have better relationships in general.

When the main character is speaking to the company he was sent to persuade.
It was a pleasant story, although rather simplistic.

The last chapter as it shows the genuine change 1 week can make in a persons life.
The message is so needed in today's world as I see so many who have forgotten to take the time to recognize the person and their needs, not realizing that more times than not when we stop for the address another our own needs can be meet. Great Book!!

there is an aunt in this story who is full of surprises
I think the most moving moment was when the hard sell guy decided to speak from the heart.
It's a good story for those who like myself need to get grounded occasionally.
