“Fantastic. I keep a close eye on new business books; this one stands out for its sheer usefulness.” (Douglas Stone, co-author of Difficult Conversations)
The format of the audiobook is very hard to follow and the narrator's voice has almost put me to sleep while commuting several times. The content is very basic psychology, if you took a psych class in college then most of the information will be familiar. To me most of the suggestions were obvious, perhaps someone else may find the information more helpful. I would pass and read the reviews on the print version as well.
The author makes influence simple. 6 basic questions to ask someone to influence them and keep going back to it. I think the technique is simple and repeatable.
"Great, if you need to get results from your team"
If you run a team of people this is great, It'll help in finding out what is important to them and what will motivate them to a win win situation.
The 6 steps make this simple to put into practice.
The book could have been shorter, I didn't need to listen to how the author had been successful with this system.
