Whether you're a CEO, a parent, or merely a person who wants to make a difference, you probably wish you had more influence with the people in your life. But most of us stop trying to make change happen because we believe it is too difficult, if not impossible. We learn to cope rather than learning to influence.
From the best-selling authors who taught the world how to have Crucial Conversations comes the new edition of Influencer, a thought-provoking audiobook that combines the remarkable insights of behavioral scientists and business leaders with the astonishing stories of high-powered influencers from all walks of life. "AN INSTANT CLASSIC! Whether you're leading change or changing your life, this book delivers." (Stephen R. Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People)
I loved almost all of it. It is a real science about change. it mostly uses methods for willful adherence to the right behaviors that lead to change. I believe adding negative reinforcement will give more strength to change efforts although this book tends to exclude it. My next assignment is to bow apply, so that I move from knowledge to skills. Overall this is one of my best reads.
I actually had fairly low expectations here, but this book was excellent. Absolutely lives up to showing you the broad view of influence and then giving anecdotal references for effective implementation.
The six sources of influence described is well thought out. The proven examples helped me visualize the sources in use. Will be putting this in practice for my future change endeavors.
New ideas - something rarely found in this genre - and clever illustrations (stories, examples) really made this a great listen. I rethought several challenges I was facing because I saw options I would not have previously considered. Kudos to the authors.
Made some good points to think about in influencing others and situations. The book went into a variety of different situations which was good to have different ideas regarding work, business and personal life.
This book reminded me also of Outliers and Tipping point, how a few small things will change the situation. I was hoping for more specifics on how to put in place influencing or practical steps. I did learn a lot from the examples and stories and I think that was the intention.
The narrator is easy to listen to, just as if he is talking to you from across the table.
This book is perfect for those in organizational and entrepreneurial roles. This book presents proven methods to help pinpoint and solve issues, big and small. This book also touches multiple industries including but not limited to healthcare, law enforcement, fitness, and humanitarian efforts. I loved listening to this every morning on my way to work. I will be listening again soon.

A highly motivating book that offers some inspiring stories and a straightforward guide to help bring about change. A recommended read, I'm glad I picked it up and I'm sure I will pick it up again and again in the future.
Valuable description of the keys to influence. Excellent resource for individuals who seek change in a world that often resists change.
