Neurosurgical resident-in-training. I listen during commute, while I workout, and when I draw.
I think I hardly need to say much about this book, as it pretty much has raving reviews all around, but this is one of my favorites. It doesn't drivel on about each topic like other self-help books where the author just goes on and on... even when the idea can be summed up in the subtitle. This book gives you just the right amount of examples and then summarizes the main point before moving on to the next concept. It's a nicely succinct and compact book that can be relistened in a short period of time. And its usefulness... well, let's just say we all need to be more attentive, and as we become better students of this book, so will we become better friends and influencers in life.
Right now I have been enjoying biographies. Maybe if I learn about admirable people a little of their character will rub off.
This book is better than most self help books. I think most people will learn at least one good tactic for working with people.
If ever there were a book that should be required reading for all of mankind it would be this manual on how to properly interact with others while enjoy our existence despite them and achieving our aims in the process.
This book fits so many aspects of life from work issues to social interactions. It is beneficial to businessmen, teachers, and consumers. Don't let the original publication date fool you. People in 2016 are fundamentally the same as people in 1936.
I have learned so much by listening to this book. I learned how to encourage my kids into doing chores, how to talk to people in a way that helps my business. I will be listening to this one again.
