    An Alternative Title

The pure fundamental truths that Mr Carnegie shares in his book are, in my humble opinion, of such great importance that my greatest and only regret in life is that I didn't read it sooner. I wish I had read this back when I was a senior in high school and now that I have finished with the book I have come to recognize noticeable changes in how I interact with others. I now strive to make others happy and joyful and when I succeed I also become happy. The current title is excellent and straight to the point. If Mr Carnegie were around to read my review I would recommend add a couple extra words to the title "How to Win Friends, Influence People, and Live a Happy Life"

    Dale Carnegie was a Genius

Dale Carnegie discovered so many things almost 100 years ago that humans are yet to fully understand, reconcile and apply in our lives. Anyone who is able to apply even a small portion of his principles will benefit a lot. My only regret is that I got to read/listen to this in 2017 when I have had a copy in my personal library since 1987. I cannot imagine how my overall quality of life would have improved had I adopted his principles 30 years ago. Better Now thanNever...

    Audible book review

This book was incredible, even being published almost 100 years ago the lessons he is teaching haven't change. I would suggest this book to everyone!
Andrew McMillan was easy to understand and listen to in the audible format. His reading of the book was perfect.

good, worth reading, a little dated sometimes

You can see how this was the progenitor to the emotional intelligence movement in business and appreciate how long it takes for these things to take root.

    Valid perspective, outdated examples

Carnegie takes on a fairly dark subject with a surprising amount of (still) valid perspective given how long ago this book was written. The examples are pretty cruddy, and very out of date in today's world but in most cases the point they are trying to illustrate is valid. You will have to think long and hard about how to apply these principles to your daily life. It can be done but will require some critical thinking on the reader's part. The narrator sounds very old timey and from the 50's but it almost makes it better because of when the book was written.
