I'm new to real estate and I really enjoyed this book. It touches on many of the basics and digs in a little enough to give you a some understanding keeps it light enough so that it doesn't overwhelm you. I found it very easy to follow.
I found the areas of REO's of interest and also how aparments and office space get valued based on their current leases. Very interesting stuff if you are new to the field like I am. I wish there was a volume 2 to dig in deeper now! Otherwise I'd give it 5stars.
I also liked the narrator.
I actually got the audiobook and it was simple enough and easy to follow yet still offered a lot of usefull information. I've actually heard it three times.
Book was very informative for someone like myself who knew little about real estate before listening to this book.

I would not suggest this book to someone who is just getting started in real estate investing, despite the title. Some of the concepts are slightly more advanced and the book lacks the step-by-step organization of other references. It includes several interesting tricks and examples, but it would be more time effective to start with a different book or skip this one all together. There are many other more suitable substitutes for those at the entry level of real estate investing.
This books gives a very general overview of all the different types of property investment such as foreclosure,Single family units, REO, commercial, strip malls etc. However, many of these investments are reserved for those who have more experience. Since the book is meant for a first-timer, I am not sure why these information took up so much space in the book. On the other hand, this book skims through the important topics I was hoping to learn about such as getting a good interest rate, mortgage, location. Instead, this book assumes that you know nothing in life in general and tells you to have a good personality (DUH). I also have a strong dislike of books that state your response should depend on the situation. While this is true, I am reading a book to look for some definitive guidelines! Very disappointing. A waste of credit :( 1 point for the narrator for he has an enthusiastic voice to help me get through the chapters.
This audio book was great, very informative, and not loaded with all that motivational crap like the some of the other books out there.
I am a soon-to-be college graduate, and I found this book very informative. I am excited about putting some of this information to use. From here, all I need is experience.
I found this book very helpful, well written to the point and very informative.
A must for every real estate investor.
