They say bad habits are hard to break and believe me, it's true. I've been trying to break a few of my bad habits for years, while simultaneously trying to cultivate good habits. I've been unsuccessful, until now. This easy-to-listen-to audio book delivers easy to understand information in an interesting way. Since listening, I've learned about good habits that can transform and have far-reaching effects on my life and success. I've also learned how to replace my bad habits with good ones. This book has really changed the way I live. Highly recommeded.
This book is full approaches on how to create good habits and break bad ones. Even if only a few resonate and motivate an adjustment to one's behavior I see that as well worth the cost of this book. The narration is clear and upbeat and helps set the proper mindset. However, I would not recommend this book for someone looking for step by step actions to achieve their goals. This book seem more like a reminder or a friend who helps point you in the right direction and in some cases inspires you to think/approach things differently.
...to re-listen to this "100 Best Habits" book periodically. It is one of the most powerful positive motivators out there. I don't know about you, but I need my habits to be affirmed; I need to be reminded that my habits are worth keeping (good habits, that is). I forget, that like the rest of humanity, I function best with a modicum of structure in my life.
I like that the book also includes practical helps to break unhelpful (bad) habits. You may chuckle, but I especially appreciated the practical reminders: "Remember to Breathe Deeply" and "Avoid Gossip."
Right from the start this book sucks you in and makes you want to keep listening. The narrator explains everything in a thorough and also entertaining manner that makes it quick and easy to listen to. The tips and advice offered are easy to understand, implement, and work with so you can start to make a change right away. I was challenged and also encouraged by what McCloud had to say and I plan to start implementing these points right away. You have little to lose and so much to gain so give it a try and discover the difference it can make in your life!
Change your habits!
I'm reminded to create a happiness ripple.

The narrator, Joshua Mackey makes listening to this book very enjoyable. His voice is not boring or slow. He shows excitement and has a way of keeping you interested. Another plus is that this book is very interesting and teaches you a lot of valuable information.
I like how Ace shows you the ways to rid of the bad habits and acquire new ones to implement into your life. He has some great strategies and easy to follow steps for good habit forming. This book contains everything from financial habit forming to health habit forming and so much more!
I have listened to a couple other books that Joshua Mackey narrates and I have to say he does an excellent job! I don't think I would want to listen to anyone else. He is a favorite of mine.
A favorite quote of mine from this book, "before a behavior can become a habit it starts off as a choice". Such a very true statement and one to think about in many situations in life.
I was left feelings very inspired and motivated after listening to Ace's book on Habits. A great book to listen to for everyone.
Yes, definitely. The habits listed in this book are useful and you can use them in every day life. It never hurts to be reminded of how you can improve your life.
His voice really gets you into the story and you can tell the most important points from his tone.
I found myself able to break it up into about 3 parts.
Breaking bad habits has always been a challenge for me. This book helps me to understand some of the best ways to break bad habits simply by adopting other habits that are better for me. I am just beginning my journey to healthier habits but love the changes that are happening already.
The suggestions in the book were very good and the reader was enjoyable to listen to. I enjoyed the suggestions for creating good positive habits and for breaking the bad ones
I would compare this book with Ace McCloud's book called Attitude. You have to have a good attitude to break bad habits and hone the good ones.
His voice inflection keeps you interested and he really sounds like he knows and enjoys the subject.
How to develop good habits is what I will remember. The suggestions were very good and plentiful. There were many I want to try so that I can become happier and more successful in life.
This book was very helpful in helping to make me enthusiastic about breaking some of my bad habits. The author made is sound easier than I thought it was and I'm confident, with his examples, I can break those bad habits and develop good ones.
I absolutely would. Maintaining good habits and breaking poor ones is a vicious cycle and my reading of this book could not have come at a better time. The start of the year is a good time to make resolutions, but resolutions aren't as lasting as setting a foundation of good habits. This book offers easy tweaks to your day-to-day life which make a huge difference.
I liked the flow and how the author was able to link everything back together. As I mentioned, breaking bad habits and creating good ones can be a vicious "chicken and egg" cycle. It's important to do both to live a healthy life.
I enjoyed the whole book but I loved the introduction. It sucked me right into the book. I almost forgot that it was going to be an informative book based on how entertaining it was.
Setting a schedule for a habit. I'm trying to swap out coffee for green tea. By starting each day with a glass of green tea, I'm developing a healthy habit.
"I'm seriously hooked"
Yes! I want to hear all of Ace McCloud's books in one sitting (so far). Ever since I purchased his first audiobook, I've listened to one EVERY DAY. There's such a variety, and even though I first started listening purely for my job (social media marketing), he has so many other books that appeal to my every day life that I just can't stop listening. I've already bought another book for today that I'm going to listen to while on the treadmill and cleaning the house. I can't think of a better way to spend my Saturday than learning how to improve yet another aspect of my life!
"End Bad Habits and Turn Your Life Around"
Intriguing. Useful. Practical.
I've never listened to another book quite like Habit. The topic is not one I would have been really interested in had I not listened to another book by the same writer. But as it turns out, habits - good and bad - are actually the key way of living a better and more satisfying and productive lifestyle.
I have listened to a number of Joshua Mackey's performances and he always hits the spot. Once again, his narration is exactly what you want from such a book and it is difficult not to be enthused by the subject.
I was impressed how the book covered such a wide range of strategies and techniques. They range from eating habits to forming good habits that can enable your relationships to be more successful. All of these add up to daily routines that can dramatically improve your way of life.
Yes; it is full of good suggestions on how to retrain your brain into getting into good habits and how to dispel bad ones in a way that is realistically achievable.
I couldn't pick out any one moment in particular, as I found the whole audiobook to be memorable in its own way.
I have not yet listened to any others!
I would listen to more written by this author - and narrated by the same person - again!
"A great uplifting guide to creating better habits"
I really enjoyed this book! It's well narrated by Joshua Mackey, whose style is enthusiastic and motivating. The book is structured in such a way that it is easy to follow and is packed full of helpful tips on how to break the cycle of negative habit and create new, healthier ones. I particularly liked the way the 100 best habits were broken down into categories, making it easier to set goals for the future.
I'd highly recommend this book to anyone looking to take the first steps towards a better organized, healthier and more successful life.
"really helped me to start build good habits"
I haven't read the print version, but I enjoyed this version so much I may well get it to check to see if there was anything I missed!
Not really appplicable as a non fiction title, but as always Josh makes it very interesting to listen to.
I am rapidly becoming a bit of a Joshua Mackey fan - he speaks clearly and is easy to follow as he narrates
I was intrigued and it helped me to really work out why so many attempts I had made to build some good habits hadn't gone so well. I am going to get busy putting some of these tips into practice straight away.
the section on financial goals was super useful, and I am off now to improve my financial habits to lead a more prosperous life!
"Excellent resource to snowball change in your life"
Pretty highly! It's clear, concise and covers acres of ground. Useful to anyone struggling to change aspects of their life by either establishing good (life affirming) habits or breaking bad (life diminishing) ones. Full of pertinent advice about how to alter habits to your best advantage.
I was very taken with the idea that there are keystone habits, which if we change, have a domino effect in bringing many positive changes into our lives; habits, such as exercise, self-discipline and learning.
His excellent motivational way of speaking and animating the message.
Yes... I was excited and motivated by the section that looked at habits related to home and health. Partly because I already have some of the lovely habits suggested, and partly because I wanted to embrace the ones that I haven't already established.
A really helpful book, jam-packed with all kinds of habit forming suggestions, but for me the best bits were the lists of great habits that benefit the different areas of life. Wonderful stuff!
"Thought provoking Audio Book"
Well i can't describe it as the most enjoyable but i surely like the narration
Hmmh there's a book on attitude i can't really remember the exact title but i find them similar since both authors have a step by step approach. i expect this book to be a list or something like that but i can take it as a motivational story talk
The diction is just superb
Was an eye opener .. I am excited about my new journey with "real habits"
"Great Guide to Harnessing the Power of Habits!"
I found this book to be a really illuminating experience. Listening to the details on why we have habits and how we can use them in a positive way really resonated with me.In particular, the book does a great job of detailing and driving home how we can easily slip into bad habits and how willpower and consistency are essential when you're trying to create good habits. It's packed with so many nuggets of information and tips and strategies that apply to everybody. Essential listening!
For me, I really enjoyed the section that talked about getting into better habits when it comes to rejection.
As in the previous books I've listened to by Ace McCloud, the narrator does the perfect job of making you feel like you not being talked down to and is very engaging.
Very impressed with this audio book, Ace McCloud continues to deliver high quality books that are rich with copious amounts of relevant tips. 90 minutes well spent!
"Take it slow when you want to change a habit or to create a new one"
"Develop good habits"
“Habit: The Top 100 Best Habits” by Ace McCloud is an excellent book for anyone who wishes to make good habits permanent. Unlearning bad habits is never easy but this book gives plenty of ideas on how to achieve that. You can learn how to choose you habits wisely and make positive changes in your life. Good advice on how to take care of your skin and diet is also offered. This book can really teach you how to eliminate bad habits and replace them with good ones.
