Publisher's summary

A groundbreaking look at why our interactions with others hold the key to success, from the best-selling author of Think Again and Originals.

For generations, we have focused on the individual drivers of success: Passion, hard work, talent, and luck. But in today’s dramatically reconfigured world, success is increasingly dependent on how we interact with others. In Give and Take, Adam Grant, an award-winning researcher and Wharton’s highest-rated professor, examines the surprising forces that shape why some people rise to the top of the success ladder while others sink to the bottom. Praised by social scientists, business theorists, and corporate leaders, Give and Take opens up an approach to work, interactions, and productivity that is nothing short of revolutionary.

Great Book = originals level

This book has the same quality as the book originals. It decided to pick this book after reading the go-giver. Sample that book, if your unsure if giving would be an interesting topic to learn about. Go-giver is really short, you can knock it out in a day if you try. Give and Take delves into giving in away that Is analytical, scientific, and thought-provoking

Great concepts. Really takes us through the topic

The concepts are thoroughly discussed. At times I felt it became long but I also felt I could apply the concepts now learned. Simply could be more precise. I prefer a book the author narrates and Adam is a wonderful speaker so I would have preferred he read the book. the author adds a passion and cadence not possible by a tbird party. This narrator is not poor but I enjoy the original.

The struggle is real

What made the experience of listening to Give and Take the most enjoyable?

It made me see that I fight within myself to get things done. It is not helpful for those around me or myself. So, for me to move forward, I must be willing to give in and let them take and then we can work together.

Interesting and Influential

This book helped me self-reflect and ponder some of my character tendencies that need to be slightly tweaked so that I am not allowing myself to be treated like a door mat. Great ideas, interesting interviews and a pleasant demonstration of giving to end the book. It is nice to be encouraged to give and to help others outside of religion. Highly recommend.

Very good but has a lot of filler

I liked the main message of this book but it feels like I am being sold a magic solution to become successful wich isn't the case.
I recommend only to read half of this book.
