Delivers on its promise with 1 important exception

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe. The material in the Audible book goes by so fast. I was encouraged when the Author said he listed resources on his website. Several busted links on that site but only a few resources and great deal of pressure to sign up for paid content. That's not what the book teaches. I like it when the added material pdf is delivered by Audible with the download. Not this time.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jim Cockrum? Why or why not?

Not an Audible edition. Maybe a Kindle version. With the Audible edition, you would need to sit a take notes. Audible books are books on the go.

Which character – as performed by Sean Pratt – was your favorite?

This is non fiction. I've listened to a number of Sean's narrations and his style grows on you.

Was Free Marketing worth the listening time?

Yes, but now that I've visited a number of the author's websites, I'm not sure he practices what he teaches.

Any additional comments?

Lately, I've been working with web marketing in the online real estate arena. I've learned that I don't like high pressure sales techniques there. In listening to this book, I was hearing that you build a relationship and trust with a potential customer without high pressure. The author teaches you to offer valued material for free and when you do sell something have an incredible money back offer. That's not high pressure. I like that message. As with all books, you always learn something. Sometimes it is what the author teaches and sometimes it is what you believed before you read the book. In this case, it was a little of both.

Great!

Would you consider the audio edition of Free Marketing to be better than the print version?

This is a great book but I think it would be better if each chapter had a To-Do list at the end.

Fantastic book though, very useful

Some cheap and easy marketing tips

Not bad but i feel like the author is selling me the whole way through. Felt like this book was a little on the shallow side. That being said, some of the info was really good and the tips are fairly easy to follow.

Good material, Horrible Narrator !!!

What did you love best about Free Marketing?

I've just started listening to this (still in Part 1) and so far the material seems like it's really good, but you have to get past the way this guy reads. His voice fluctuation is awful! I wish I had the printed version instead so I could concentrate on the material more and not be distracted by the narrator. Maybe the narrator was one of the freebies Jim found. Ugh!

Would you ever listen to anything by Jim Cockrum again?

Yes, if he had someone else narrate it.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Sean Pratt?

ANYONE!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, couldn't do Sean for that long.

Any additional comments?

We'll see once I get through it all.

Great Book but a bit repetitive :)

Any additional comments?

Very practical and easy to apply. Started using many of the ideas before even finishing the book.

But it!

This book gives you everything you need. It gets the ideas flowing and it gives a path to follow. I recommend reading twice. You'll get even more out of it the second time around.

so many great ideas

Where does Free Marketing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

one of the top 3 books I have listened to in the past year.

Any additional comments?

I think there are so many ideas, some of them did not work for my industry, but all the ones that did made it all worth it. I found when I re-listened to it I would just skip the topics that were not relevant for me.
